In a major break through the officials of Police Post Burail, UT, Chandigarh has solved the case of robbery committed by four persons.

During intervening night, 31/10.1/11.2018 information was received from Police Control Room that snatching took place at sector 44/45 light point. On this information SI Amrik Singh along with police staff reached at the spot, where it come to notice that the complainant/victim has been taken to GMCH-32 chd by PCR vehicle. SI Amrik Singh alongwith police party reached at GMCH-32, where complainant /victim Sandeep s/o Chadi Lal r/o Peer Mohalla, Jughian Zirakpur Pb met whose statement got recorded in which he stated that he is working as auto driver in Tricity. Today i.e. on 31.10.18, he came towards sector 44 Petrol Pump, when he reached near light point sector- 44/45, four persons forcibly stopped his auto and get down to me & beaten him and took his purse containing cash Rs 2800/- and valuable documents. After that, all of them ran away from there. A case FIR no 389 dt 01.11.2018 u/s 323, 341, 392, 34 IPC was registered.

A Special Team headed by I/C PP Burail, SI Amrik Singh and other police officials under the direct supervision of Ms Niharika Bhatt IPS, ASP South Sub Division was constituted. The team laid trap along with the secret informer & complainant  near light point sector 44/45 in front of road Near Cow Shed. On the identification of complainant accused namely Pawan s/o Kailash r/o near Maszid Burial age-22 years, Aakash s/o Suresh Kumar r/o # 1052, Tin Colony Sector- 52 chd age-19 years, Lalit s/o Puran r/o # 663, Dhanas chd age 18½ years and Anil s/o Tejinder Parsad r/o # 1520, Tin Colony Sector- 52 chd age-33 years were arrested in this case.

The police at first instance have recovered some of the valuables documents from the possession of the accused persons. During initial interrogation, the accused persons have admitted of committing this crime. Further interrogation of accused persons is going on and more recoveries are likely to be effected in due course of investigation.
