One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested for applying fake number plate

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Dilawar R/o # 1/5346, Balbir Nagar, Extension Sahadara, Delhi-32, New Delhi from Sector 4/9 dividing road near Bougainvillea Garden, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration number CH-01BB-1649 on Maruti Swift Car. In this regard, a case FIR No. 209, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-03 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Javed Akhtar R/o # 405, Mohalla Purva Fariad Ali, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh from near Bhaskar Colony turn, near Toilets, Sector-25, Chandigarh while he was using fake Registration number CH-01BF-2137 on Maruti Swift Car. In this regard, a case FIR No. 322, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-11 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Jasbir Singh R/o# 374, Deshmesh Enclave, Kharar, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab near Plot No.49, Industrial Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh and recovered 400 gram Opium from his possession. A case FIR No. 320, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Shivam Kapoor @ Shanti R/o backside Grain Market, Rajpura Town, Distt.-Patiala, Punjab, Sarwan @ Kaalu R/o # 977, Rajiv Colony, Sector-17, Panchkula, Haryana and Rakesh @ Dinesh R/o # 1137, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Khera Mandir, Mauli Complex, Maulijagran, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 7,200/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 317, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later they bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A case FIR No. 413, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh who reported that his sister age about 17 years have been missing from her house since 28.10.18.Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

A lady resident of Sector-47/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01DD-5881 while parked near her house on 24-10-2018. A case FIR No. 414, U/s 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Rahul Kumar R/o # 570, Sector-20/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs.7000/8000 from his cash box, 5/6 silver coins, some tea bags and 4/5 Desi Ghee box from his shop, SCO No.71-72, Sector-17/C, Chandigarh on night intervening 29/30.10.2018. A case FIR No. 343, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 210, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh on the statement of Veer Chand R/o Mata Kansa Devi, Kansal Colony, Distt.-Mohali. Punjab who alleged that driver of car No.CH-01BD-7350 hit to complainant’s Auto No. CH-01TA-4609 near # 32, Sector-5, Chandigarh on 30.10.2018. Driver of Auto and five children in Auto got injured and got treatment from GH-16, Chandigarh. Driver of car namely Suraj Kumar Rana R/o # 123, Village-Kaimbwala, Chandigarh arrested and later bail out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. M.L. Toora R/o # 5126/3, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cash Rs. 9500/- by pick pocketing near Universal Electricals Company, Sector-18, Chandigarh on 30.10.18. A case FIR No. 307, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Sh. Malkit Kumar R/o # 286 ward No.18, Jaimal Pura Road, Tohana, Distt.-Fatehabad, Haryana reported that unknown person occupant of scooty snatched away mobile phone from complainant near backside # 1445, Sector-22/B, Chandigarhon 30.10.2018. A case FIR No. 344, U/S 379, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
