Student groups clash in Patiala: more than dozen students injured

Patiala, October 9, 2018 :

About dozen students including some girls were injured when two groups of the students clashed in Punjabi University Campus in the evening today. The sharp edged weapon and lathis  and stones were freely used during the clash.Police had to intervene.

Stating the clash as unfortunate ,VC Dr B S Ghumman told mediapersons that it happened suddenly when the authorities were trying to resolve the girls hostel issue by dialogue and negotiations. He said  even some the security guards of the campus who tried to stop the fighting students , were also injured .
