Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Naveen Sood R/o # 33, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh near Rally Ground, Sector 25, Chandigarh and recovered 25 gm heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 293, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Manjit Singh R/o Kawal Colony, Ward No. 9, Samrala, Distt- Ludhiana (PB) near Gaushala, Sector 45, Chandigarh and recovered total 50 injections of drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 354, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

A case FIR No. 260, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh against Sonu R/o # 316, Village-Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh who was arrested near Toba Park, Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh and recovered 5 bottles of liquor from his possession. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

A case FIR No. 322, U/S 341, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Tribhuwan Chand R/o # 993, Adarsh Nagar, Nayagaon, Mohali, (PB) who alleged that Binder and 2 others beaten threatened complainant near Shanti Kunj, Sector 16, Chandigarh on 02.10.2018. He got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 323, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint a lady resident of Sector-21/A, Chandigarh who alleged that she had given some part of property i.e. Ground floor of # 1569, Hallo Majra, UT, Chandigarh on lease to Dinesh Gulati R/o # 1940, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh in the year 2006. Thereafter on request of Dinesh Gulati one additional room of 1^st floor was also given to him but he forcefully entered in another room. Now, Dinesh Gulati has submitted false and forged signed lease deed as well as forged rent receipts as a proof of possession in Sale Tax Office, Sector 17, Chandigarh and further giving false affidavit to Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Roopesh Kumar R/o # 1477, Sector-29B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away purse containing cash Rs 52,000/- & documents from his house on night intervening 01/02-10-2018. A case FIR No. 302, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Avinash Kumar R/o # 394, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away two mobile phones from his house on night intervening 01/02-10-2018. A case FIR No. 291, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. MV Theft

Gulfaam Khan R/o # 132/1, Gali No. 10, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bolero Jeep No. CH-01TA5103 while parked near Lala Wala Peer, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 01.10.2018. A case FIR No. 407, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Sushil R/o # 1546/2, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01AP-3092 while parked near H.No. 1118/12, Gobindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh on night intervening 19/20-09-2018. A case FIR No. 408, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Gazee Hasan R/o # 2419, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH21T918 near his residence on 19-09-2018. A case FIR No. 376, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Pardeep Kumar R/o # 518, DMC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB08AQ-6886 while parked near his house on night intervening 26/27-09-2018. A case FIR No. 204, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Snatching

A lady resident of Sector-28B, Chandigarh alleged that two persons snatched her purse containing cash Rs. 1200/- and documents near Gurudwara, Village Attawa, Chandigarh on 02.10.2018. Later one of the accused Sukhdev R/o # 2001/15, Sector 32C, Chandigarh was apprehended by public near the spot.  A case FIR No. 353, U/S 379, 356, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Alleged person Sukhdev has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

Sh. Rampal R/o # 483, Indira Colony, Sector-17 Panchkula, (HR) alleged that his son-in-law namely Deepak and his mother both R/o # 2445, Sector-52, Chandigarh abetted/provoked complainant’s daughter to commit suicide. A case FIR No. 354, U/S 306, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
