Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-11 & 17, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Ranjit Singh R/o # 1497, Ph-5, Mohali (PB) near Kerosene Pump Sector-45, Chandigarh and recovered 6 syrup bottles and 250 tablets of drugs from his possession. A case FIR No. 343, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstructing public way

 

A case U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh against two persons Laxmi & Khajinder resident of Naya Gaon (PB) who were arrested, while they were running Rehri/Fari at public place near Govt. Girls College, Sector 11, Chandigarh and obstructing public way. Later both were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

Sh. Mandeep Kumar R/o # 570, Ph-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh alleged that a person namely Budhramstolen away cash Box from Shri Ganesh Pooja programme at Ramleela Ground, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 20-09-2018. Later Budhram R/o # 725/5, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, age about 42 years has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 306, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

A lady resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh alleged that Raju, Rikky and Ravi beaten threatened complainant near Mandir, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 14.09.2018. Complainant got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 273, U/S 325, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Alleged persons Ravi R/o # 1080, Sector-25, Chandigarh, Rikky R/o # 1000, Sector-25, Chandigarh and Raju R/o # 3509, Sector-25, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abducted

Sh. Prem Kumar R/o Village Nakhuni Husanpur, Distt-Samastipur, (Bihar) reported that his son age about 9 years has been missing from GH-16, Chandigarh since morning of 20.09.2018. A case FIR No. 307, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Khudda Lahora, Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons occupant of Motor cycle snatched away her purse containing cash Rs. 2,000/-, ATM card and documents near Market, Khudda Lahora, Chandigarh on 21.09.2018. A case FIR No. 250, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A girl resident of Sector 8, Chandigarh reported that 2 unknown persons occupant of Activa Scooter snatched away her purse containing cash Rs. 2,000/- and documents near Patrol Pump, Sector 7, Chandigarh on 21.09.2018. A case FIR No. 305, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Anil Kumar R/o # 3081, Sector-38/D, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons occupant of Motor cycle snatched away mobile phone from complainant near Shahpur light point, Sector 38(W) Chandigarh on 21.09.2018. A case FIR No. 196, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Deterred public servant while discharging govt. duty

A case FIR No. 307, U/S 332, 353, 323, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Const. Parminder Kumar, PCR against Ravi Gir, Gurjant Singh and others who quarreled with complainant and other police officials and deterred them while discharging duty at quarrel spot near SCO No. 12, Sector 7C, Chandigarh on 20.09.2018. Alleged Ravi Gir R/o Village Knasana, Kharar, Distt. Mohali (PB) age 48 years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A person resident of Chandigarh alleged that Wasim, Ajay, Lalu, Anil, Asif, Sakil, Pappu, Juber and Sokit quarreled, threatened complainant and outraged his religious feelings. They also damaged his shop articles at Booth No. 6, Motor Market, Sector 28, Chandigarh on 18.09.2018. A case FIR No. 308, U/S 295-A, 298, 323, 342, 506, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later alleged person namely Pappu R/o # 771/2, EWS Colony, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh age about 38 has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 Eve-teasing

A girl resident of Panchkula (HR) alleged that two unknown person’s occupant of Creta car eve-teased complainant near Housing Board Light Point, Chandigarh on 21.09.2018. A case FIR No. 400, U/S 294, 341, 506, 509, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust/ Cheating

A case FIR No. 341, U/S 406, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjay Bhargav R/o Flat No. 181, Advocate Society, Sector-49, Chandigarh who alleged that Abhishek Jain and others running companies i.e. Primero Advent, 226 Crown Square Plaza, Gandhi Path, Vaishali Nagar Jaipur (West), Rajasthan, India. They cheated Rs. 70 lakh from complainant regarding providing insurance policies having huge returns and loan benefits. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Harjinder Singh R/o # 3413/2, Sector-45, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Complainant’s Activa Scooter No CH-01AH-2759 while parked near his house on night intervening 20/21-09-2018. A case FIR No. 342, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Nishant Garg R/o # 2934, Sector-37, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Complainant’s M/Cycle No. PB-50-6039 while parked near his house on night intervening 18/19-09-2018. A case FIR No. 383, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
