A female Sub Inspector, posted at a remote location in Uttarakhand, taught law and order lesson to Congress workers and former Uttarakhand assembly speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal during the ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Monday. The policewomen opposed the move of the political party to forcefully close a 10+2 government girls school and ill-treating with the students at Jainti in district Almora.
Sub Inspector Sweta Negi, in-charge of Jainti Police Chowki, exhibited rare courage to stand alone amidst agitated Congress workers to silence them with her argument at Jainti market. When the female police Sub Inspector said, “Your workers were misbehaving with girls students and pushing them.” The police officer received support from the public, who confirmed the misbehavior incident. As a girl, standing in the crowd, began speaking about the Congress workers misbehaving with girl students, the political leader and his supporters became silent. They ran out of excuses to defend themselves.
Taking one step more, the Sub Inspector ordered the crowd not to obstruct the road and allow free parking space. Govind Singh Kunjwal, sitting MLA from Jageshwar, constantly accused the police officer of supporting a political party and Swety repeatedly said, “I am doing my duty and can allow violence incident to take place.”
The police staff and supporter of Govind Singh Kunjwal were making video of the argument. The former Uttarakhand assembly speaker was speaking in high volume claiming ever they like, including closing the school. The video from Jainti became viral on social media.
