Ex SSp along with 4 cops named in Behbal Kalan firing incident

Chandigarh, August 11, 2018:

Acting on the recommendations of the Justice (retd.) Ranjit Singh Commission, the Punjab Police has included the names of 4 police personnel in the FIR registered in 2015 in the Behbal Kalan firing incident.

The names of PPS Officers, Charanjit Singh, the then SSP Moga who has since retired, Bikramjit Singh, the then SP D), Fazilka, along with Inspector Pardip Singh and SI Amarjit Singh, have been added to case FIR no.130 dated 21.10.2015 u/s 302, 307, 34 IPC, 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Bajakhana, District Faridkot, following the directives of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

The Commission, in its first report submitted to the Chief Minister last month, had categorically named these 4 police personnel and recommended that they be named as accused in the above-mentioned FIR and proceeded against as per law. Since an FIR no.130 dated 21.10.2015 u/s 302, 307, 34 IPC, 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Bajakhana, District Faridkot, already stood registered against unidentified police personnel, the names of these 4 police officers have been added in the FIR.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Commission, the roles of 5 other police officers, namely, Inspector Harpal Singh, the then SHO Ladowal, and Constables Shamsher Singh, Harpreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, and Parminder Singh, all gunmen of Charanjeet Singh, the then SSP, will also be thoroughly investigated.

Regarding the Kotkapura firing, in which one Ajit Singh was injured, the spokesperson said that, on the basis of his statement to the Commission, a case under Section 307/323/341/148/149 IPC & 27/54/59 Arms Act was registered on August 7, as per the Commission’s recommendation.

The spokesperson clarified that though the Commission has raised doubts on the role of certain senior police officers in the Kotkapura firing, it had recommended investigations in the case, after registration of the said FIR, by an independent agency.

फरीदाबाद: सेक्टर 14 आरडब्ल्यूए एसोसिएशन की तरफ से डीएवी स्कूल में मनाए गए तीज महोत्सव में कई सांसदों और मंत्रियों की पत्नियों ने शिरकत की। उद्योग मंत्री विपुल गोयल के बुलावे पर तीज महोत्सव में पहुंची कमल सुखी परिवार की इन खास मेहमानों ने तीज महोत्सव में जमकर मौज मस्ती की। कमल सखी परिवार की सदस्य केंद्रीय मंत्री चौधरी बीरेंद्र सिंह की पत्नी प्रेमलता, धर्मेंद्र प्रधान की पत्नी मृदुला प्रधान ,सांसद राजीव प्रताप रूडी की पत्नी नीलम रूडी, राज्यसभा सांसद डॉक्टर अनिल जैन की पत्नी वंदना जैन, सांसद जितेंद्र सिंह की पत्नी मंजू सिंह और सांसद अश्विनी चोपड़ा की पत्नी किरण चोपड़ा ने तीज महोत्सव में शिरकत की। सभी खास मेहमानों ने ढोलक पर जमकर डांस किया तो वहीं झूला झूलने का भी आनंद लिया।

विधायक और केंद्रीय मंत्री चौधरी बीरेंद्र सिंह की पत्नी प्रेमलता ने कहा कि फरीदाबाद में उन्हें हमेशा प्यार मिलता है और आज तीज महोत्सव में कई सालों बाद उन्होंने झूला झूलने का आनंद लिया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज इस तरह तीज मनाकर उन्हें बचपन के दिन याद आ गए। वहीं मृदुला प्रधान ने कहा कि कमल सखी ग्रुप से जुड़ने के कारण हम बीजेपी नेताओं की पत्नियां अक्सर सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों में जाते रहते हैं और फरीदाबाद में उन्हें सूरजकुंड मेले के बाद दूसरी बार आने का अवसर मिला है और हम दुआ करते हैं कि विपुल गोयल यूं ही तरक्की करते रहें और हमें बुलाते रहे। उन्होंने कहा कि तीज महिलाओं का त्यौहार है और तीज उत्सव महिलाओं को आजादी का संदेश देता है। वहीं उद्योग मंत्री विपुल गोयल ने इस मौके पर सभी खास महिलाओं का उपहार देकर स्वागत किया। उन्होंने कहा कि तीज का त्यौहार महिला सशक्तिकरण का प्रतीक है और हरियाणा के साथ देश की सरकार लगातार महिला सशक्तिकरण का कार्य कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश की सरकार से लेकर हर क्षेत्र में महिलाएं भारत का नाम रोशन कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि तीज का त्यौहार यह भी संदेश देता है कि घर और बाहर दोनों जगह महिलाओं का सम्मान करें और उन्हें आगे बढ़ने के समान अवसर दें। इस मौके पर सेक्टर 14 आरडब्ल्यूए के प्रधान शंकर खंडेलवाल, आर एस गांधी, केसी लखानी, बीजेपी नेता राजेश नागर और डिप्टी मेयर मनमोहन गर्ग सहित अनेक गणमान्य व्यक्ति मौजूद रहे।

पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय के हिंदी विभाग के दो शोधार्थी आगामी 18 से 20 अगस्त तक मॉरीशस में हो रहे 11 वें विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन में अपने आलेख प्रस्तुतकरेंगे।

 हिंदी विभाग के अध्यक्ष डॉ गुरमीत सिंह ने आज यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि सम्मेलन का आयोजन भारत सरकार के विदेश मंत्रालय की ओर सेकिया जाता है और विभाग के दो शोधार्थियों केवल कुमार और सुनीता कुमारी का चयन विदेश मंत्रालय द्वारा गठित विशेषज्ञ समिति ने सभी आलेखों कीस्क्रीनिंग के आधार पर किया है।

 यह संभवतः पहली बार होगा जब हिंदी विभाग के शोधार्थियो को विदेश में आलेख प्रस्तुति का अवसर मिला है। दोनोशोधार्थियो को डीयूआई प्रोफेसर शंकरजी झा के  नेतृत्व में सम्मेलन में  जा रहे विश्वविद्यालय के शिष्टमंडल में शामिल किया गया है।

डॉ गुरमीत सिंह ने बताया कि 11 वें विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन की थीम” हिंदी विश्व और भारतीय संस्कृति” रखी गई है और दोनों शोधार्थियो के आलेख उसी पर आधारित थे।

डॉ सिंह ने बताया कि विदेश मंत्रालय द्वारा  विश्व में हिंदी के प्रसार के लिए सम्मेलन का आयोजन हर तीन वर्ष के अंतराल पर अलग अलग स्थान पर कियाजाता है। इससे पहले भोपाल , जोहान्सबर्ग, न्यूयॉर्क, लंदन, सूरीनाम आदि जगहों पर यह सम्मेलन हो चुके हैं। मॉरीशस में 11 वें  विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन काउद्घाटन वहां के प्रधानमंत्री श्री प्रवीण कुमार जगन्नाथ और भारत की विदेश मंत्री श्रीमती सुषमा स्वराज संयुक्त रूप से करेंगे। सम्मेलन में भारत औरविभिन्न देशों के करीब ढाई हजार प्रतिभागी हिस्सा लेंगे।

A week long International Workshop on “Nanostructured metal oxides for sensing and environmental applications” under GIAN-MHRD scheme concluded which was organized by Panjab University, Chandigarh.

 This workshop was successfully organized under the able guidance and efforts of Prof. S K Mehta, Director CIL, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Prof. S K Kansal of Dr. SSB UICET.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar (IAS), Principle Secretary, Govt. of Punjab was the Chief guest at the valedictory function of this international workshop.

Dr Sanjay Badada, Professor of Endocrinology PGI, Chandigarh and Dr Prakash Kumar, Asst, Vice President, RIL Vadodra were the Guest of honour.

Prof. Sushil Kumar Kansal, coordinator of this International workshop briefed the audience about the course components and outcomes. He also emphasized on the need and significance of such workshops to equip the participants with field knowledge.

The chief guest Shri Sanjay Kumar congratulated the organisers for successfully organizing this five day workshop on the theme nanostructured metal oxides for sensing applications and need of working on emerging areas of research such as nanotechnology.

Dr Sanjay Badada, guest of honour, also shared his views about societal research and scope of nanotechnology in emerging medical technologies.

Dr Prakash Kumar motivated the students to do useful research projects and deliberated upon emerging research problems to be undertaken by the students.

Prof Ahmad Umar, the foreign faculty from Najran University, Saudi Arabia shared his experiences during the workshop and motivated the students to do specific and subject oriented research.

He expressed his gratitude to the organizers for inviting him for this workshop and expressed his satisfaction and happiness on completing the workshop.

Prof. S. K. Mehta, Local Coordinator, GIAN thanked the distinguished guests and the participants and described the need to identify and work on cutting edge areas of science and technology in order to address the regional as well as national issues in the larger interest of the people.

The participants were seen highly enthusiastic for learning about the nanomaterials and metal oxides and theirapplications insensing area.

Police Station Sector 36 solved cases of Snatching & Robbery

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success in “Snatching & Robbery Cases” by arresting two accused, by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

Keeping in view the increasing of snatching incidents a special team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime specially snatching & robbery incidents in PS area. The Special team did commendable job by arresting the accused Ravi S/o Vinoj Kumar R/o # 77 Gwala colony Maloya Chd & Vinay S/o Ramji Lal R/o # 33 Gali No. 33 Jujhar Nagar Mohali PB. Who were involved in 3 snatching cases i.e PGI, Sec-38 and Sec-53, Chd which they have committed on 3.8.18.

With the arrest of these accused case FIR no. 286 dated 4.8.18 u/s 392,34 IPC and one case FIR no. 314 dated 4.8.18 u/s 356,379 IPC of PS-39 have been w/out and 3 mobile phones involved in these cases have also been recovered. The vehicle used for committing the crime i.e. Honda Activa, has also been recovered from them.

Previous criminal record – As per interrogation of these accused it has been revealed that they were involved and arrested in two cases in Mohali, PB.

Modus Oprandi:-

During their interrogation it has been revealed that both the accused are drug addicted and after taking drug they used to target the pedestrians/victims carrying Costly Cell Phones and snatch phones from them on knife point and run away by their vehicle activa. After committing the crime they went to Haridwar and Rishikesh for taking Kawar (jal).

This case is still under investigation and more recovery is expected from their custodial interrogation. The 3rd accused who is involved in the above said snatching and robbery cases is absconder, after his arrest more recoveries are expected from him.

Chandigarh, August 11, 2018:

The Punjab Police on Saturday arrested another member of the Dilpreet-Rinda gang, allegedly involved in the attack on well-known Punjabi singer Parmish Verma.

This is Punjab Police’s second big arrest in about a month, since Dilpreet, who had also threatened the singer on Facbook, had been nabbed.

Wanted by the police of three states, Akash, a 21-year-old sharp shooter, was nabbed after a 9-kilometer chase that ended in exchange of fire in Sighpura area of Rupnagar. A foreign-made mouser and bullets were recovered from  his possession.

A resident of Nanded Sahib, Maharashtra, he was wanted in five cases of murder and 13 cases of dacoity, robbery and the Arms Act, by the police of Maharashtra, Haryana and Punjab. In the world of organised crime since the age of 17, Akash had been in Punjab for the past few months

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rupnagar, Swapan Sharma said no policeman was injured in the cross-firing, that took place when the gangster’s vehicle got stuck near a drain in Singhpura. The gangster sustained a bullet injury on his left shoulder in the operation that was led by the DSP and CIA 1 and CIA 2 of the Rupnagar Police.

Reports suggest that Akash was a constant companion to Dilpreet and was his  accomplice in the daring attack on the Punjabi singer in Mohali, along with many other cases, including broad daylight murders in different parts of the country.

 

Akash, who had been rallying the gang members to free Dilpreet Singh Dahal from police custody during court hearings Dilpreet’s his arrest last month, had snatched a Forutuner vehicle from Anandpur Sahib at gun point on Friday. District Police was on red alert, keeping tabs at all vantage points and escape routes, and gave a hot chase to Akash, said Sharma. According to Sharma, Dilpreet’s gang members had done a complete recce in the districts in which cases against him had been registered.

In the 15 months since Amarinder-led government took over, total 922 members/persons of various criminal gangs have been arrested and seven, including Vicky Gounder, Prema Loharia, Savinder Parbjot and Manna, have been neutralized.

देशभर के लगभग सभी लोगों को WhatsApp के जरिए सुकन्या योजना के नाम पर एक मैसेज भेजा जा रहा है। इस मैसेज में बच्चियों को ₹10000 तक के निशुल्क चेक दिए जाने की बातें लिखी है। लिहाजा लोग धड़ाधड़ इस मैसेज को न सिर्फ शेयर कर रहे हैं बल्कि इस पर दी हुई लिंक पर क्लिक भी कर रहे हैं। ये मैसेज वायरल हो रहा है। हमने इस वायरल मैसेज की जांच की जिसमें हैरान करने वाले खुलासे हुए हैं। आईटी एक्सपर्ट ने इस इस मैसेज के साथ वायरल की जा रही वेबसाइट लिंक को चेक किया जो कि फर्जी निकली। इस वेबसाइट की लिंक पर gov जैसे शब्दोंं का जानबूझकर इस्तेमाल किया गया है ताकि लोगों को लगे कि यह सरकारी वेबसाइट है। इससे आपकी निजी जानकारी के गलत इस्तेमाल का खतरा बना हुआ है।

संयुक्त राष्ट्र की भेदभाव विरोधी समिति ने उईघर मुस्लिम समुदाय के साथ चीन के बर्ताव पर चिंता जताई है

चीन के मुस्लिम बहुल क्षेत्र उईघर में मुस्लिमों के साथ भेदभाव की खबरें आती रहती हैं. ऐसा भी कहा जाता है कि उन्हें धर्म परिवर्तन के लिए मजबूर किया जाता है. अब संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने आशंका जताई है कि चीन में उईघर समुदाय लोगों को सामूहिक रूप से हिरासत में रखा जा रहा है और उनके मानवाधिकारों का हनन किया जा रहा है.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र की भेदभाव विरोधी समिति ने उईघर मुस्लिम समुदाय के साथ चीन के बर्ताव पर चिंता जताई है.

नस्लीय भेदभाव उन्मूलन समिति ने जेनेवा में शुक्रवार को चीन की रिपोर्ट की समीक्षा करनी शुरू की. वहीं चीनी प्रतिनिधिमंडल के नेता यू जिआनहुआ ने आर्थिक प्रगति के साथ ही बढ़ते जीवन स्तर का जिक्र किया.

इस दौरन समिति की उपाध्यक्ष गे मैकडूगल ने कहा कि ‘समिति के सदस्य उन अनेक विश्वस्नीय रिपोर्टों पर चिंतित हैं, जिनमें कहा गया है कि धार्मिक कट्टरपंथ को रोकने और सामाजिक स्थिरता को बनाए रखने के नाम पर (चीन) उईघर स्वायत्त क्षेत्र को ऐसे स्थान में तब्दील कर दिया गया है जो कि किसी बड़े नजरबंदी शिविर की भांति प्रतीत होता है और बेहद गोपनीय है.’

उन्होंने कहा, ‘उईघर तथा अन्य मुस्लिम अल्पसंख्यकों को समुदायिक हिरासत में रखे जाने की रिपोर्ट हैं.’

मैकडूगल ने कहा, ‘अनुमान है कि इन तथाकथित अतिवाद निरोधी केन्द्रों में 10 लाख लोगों को रखा गया है वहीं 20 लाख अन्य लोगों को तथाकथित पुनर्शिक्षण केंद्रों में भेजा गया है.’

संयुक्त राष्ट्र में चीन के राजदूत यू ने कहा कि शुक्रवार को उठाए गए प्रश्नों का वह सोमवार के सत्र में जवाब देंगे.

अंशुल प्रकाश को हटाने क जुगाड़ में केजरीवाल

दिल्ली विधानसभा में एक प्रस्ताव पारित कर मुख्य सचिव को कथित रूप से बीजेपी के इशारे पर सीसीटीवी कैमरा प्रोजेक्ट में बाधा पहुंचाने के लिए तत्काल हटाने की मांग की गई है

अरविंद केजरीवाल सरकार क्या दिल्ली के मुख्य सचिव (चीफ सेक्रेटरी) अंशु प्रकाश को हटाने की तैयारी में है. यह सवाल इसलिए उठता है क्योंकि शुक्रवार को दिल्ली विधानसभा में एक प्रस्ताव पारित कर मुख्य सचिव को कथित रूप से बीजेपी के इशारे पर सीसीटीवी कैमरा प्रोजेक्ट में बाधा पहुंचाने के लिए तत्काल हटाने की मांग की गई.

इस कदम से नौकरशाहों और सत्ताधारी आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के बीच तनाव और बढ़ने की आशंका है।

आप की बहुमत वाली दिल्ली विधानसभा की ओर से विचार व्यक्त किया गया कि दिल्ली में महिलाओं और बच्चों की सुरक्षा के लिए सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाना फौरन जरूरी है

विधानसभा में पारित प्रस्ताव में कहा गया, ‘सदन मुख्य सचिव अंशु प्रकाश की सीसीटीवी परियोजना को बाधित करने के लिए निंदा करता है जो केंद्र की बीजेपी सरकार की ओर से काम करते प्रतीत होते हैं. उनका कृत्य सीसीटीवी परियोजना को बाधित करने के विपक्ष की साजिश का हिस्सा लगता है. सदन मांग करता है कि अंशु प्रकाश को दिल्ली के मुख्य सचिव पद से तत्काल हटाया जाए.’

बता दें कि 19-20 फरवरी की आधी रात अरविंद केजरीवाल के आवास पर  राशन कार्ड और अन्य मुद्दों पर बुलाई गई बैठक के दौरान मुख्य सचिव अंशु प्रकाश के साथ कथित रूप से हाथापाई की गई थी. अंशु प्रकाश ने आरोप लगाया था कि मुख्यमंत्री और उपमुख्यमंत्री वहां मौजूद थे मगर वो तमाशबीन बने रहे.

इस घटना के बाद दिल्ली के आईएएएस अधिकारियों ने केजरीवाल सरकार और मंत्रियों से मिलना बंद कर दिया था. अधिकारियों के इस रुख को लेकर मुख्यमंत्री केजरीवाल बीते जून महीने में अपने 3 मंत्रियों के साथ एलजी ऑफिस में 9 दिन तक धरने पर बैठे रहे थे.
