By arresting 2 Romanians Police cracked 3 cases of ATM coloning

Chandigarh police has arrested two Romanian citizens Miclealecan, Lonut, age 37 and Parichit George Aletandru age 37,.From hotel Glitz, Vasant Kunj ,New Delhi.
Earlier they residential in the Hotel Metro 35 and Western Court sector 43.
Police has recover various devices , wigs, caps etc to clon ATMs.

On a complaint of Yogesh Kumar, manager, Canara Bank, Sector 17, the case was registered at the Sector 17 police station. Earlier, the police had registered a case at the Sector 36 police station after a cloning device was found at a Canara Bank ATM in Sector 35, while another case was registered at the Mani Majra police station after a cloning device was found at a Canara Bank ATM in Modern Housing Complex, Mani Majra.
The police said a similar cloning device was found at the ATM in Sector 17 by the bank after which a police complaint was made.
A skimming device and a camera installed above the keypad were recovered.
The police said it was suspected that the same persons installed the cloning devices in all three ATMs. “We are waiting for the bank to provide us the CCTV footage of the ATM,” said a police official.
The cyber cell of the UT police have already received close to 70 complaints of card cloning.
Canara Bank ATMs being targeted
