Chandigarh, August 9, 2018:

Haryana Director General of Police, B.S. Sandhu said that those who were involved in the killing of Sub Inspector, Narender Kumar premises will not be spared. They will soon be put behind bars.

He was interacting with media persons after attending the last rites of  Narendra Kumar, who laid down his in the line of duty at Rohtak, in Karnal today. Cremation of Narendra Kumar was done with full state honour.

DGP Sandhu said that financial assistance of Rs 60 lakh would be given to the next-of-kin of deceased, of which Rs30 lakh would be given by the bank as per agreement and an equal amount of assistance will be given by the State government.

“Apart from this, Police will also send a proposal to the government regarding offering a job under special ex-gratia scheme to the son of deceased employee,” he added.

Sandhu said that police is making all efforts and culprits would be arrested soon. We will also try that the accused will be given severe punishment through the fast track court.

He said that Narender would be long remembered for his bravery and services to the Police department.

Earlier, DGP B. S. Sandhu paid floral tributes to Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar.

On this occasion, BJP District President Jagmohan Anand paid tributes to the martyr on behalf of the Chief Minister. Karnal IG Navdeep Singh Virk and Karnal SP Surendra Singh Bhoria, Nilokhedi MLA Bhagwandas Kabirpanthi and Executive Vice President of Swachh Bharat Mission Subhash Chandra also paid floral tributes to Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar.
