Sector-1 College organises Talent Hunt-2021

A two days talent hunt organised by Deptt of Youth and cultural Affairs of Govt PG College of Sector-1 College was concluded today.In the event students participated in cultural and literary items.

Principal Dr. Archana Mishra in her address said that Sector-1 College is always commited to explore and promote hidden talents of its students. She called up students to actively participate in co-curricular activities.

On the first day of the event students showcased their skills in literary items like poetry,speech,quiz and declamation.
The second day of the event was dedicated to cultural items. The students participated in instrumental and vocal music, dance, mono-acting, mimicry etc.


Shubham,Sakeel and Anshuman grabbed Ist , second and third position in instrumental music. Deeksha from BSc.Ist year, stood first in singing where as Pooja from MA IInd year stood first in dancing.Subham from BMC IInd achieved first position in mimicry.


Youth Welfare Department of KUK rewarded with prize money to the winner students.Prof Jitender Arya, Incharge, Youth and Cultural Affairs said that students selected through Talent Hunt would participate in various events in Zonal Youth festival being organised on 16th to 18th February in Labana Girls College, Ambala.As many as 100 students showcased thier talents during the event.

Dr. Poonam, Dr. Taraana, Dr. Seema, Anita Hooda, Viney Chaudhary, Vineeta Prof Jainarayan were the organising committee if the event.

School of Communication Studies Panjab University and Public Relations Council of India ,Chandigarh Chapter holds annual Alumni Meet

School of communication Studies, Panjab University Chandigarh in association with Public Relations Council of India Chandigarh Chapter held an online  annual alumni meet on 19 January  from 330 pm to 430 pm . 

The opening remarks of the programme informing about the objectives and activities of PRCI at the National as well as International level, were given by Ms Renuka Salwan who is the National Zonal Head ,PRCI. 

Welcome remarks were presented by Dr Sumedha Singh, Chairperson, School of Communication Studies. Dr Singh said that happiness is present within us and it’s flow should be inside – out.

Intro of the speakers was given by Mr Charanjit Singh who is the Senior Vice President of national executive, PRCI and MD,  Core PR,a PR agency in Chandigarh. 

The key speaker of the event was Mr Vivek Atray, former IAS officer, a motivational speaker, a columnist and Chairman, Chandigarh Chapter of PRCI. Mr Kanwar Sandhu, an eminent journalist and former editor of eminent newspapers like The Tribune, Indian Express and the Hindustan Times and now the MLA from Kharar, Panjab honoured the event as a chief guest.

 The speakers talked about the happiness index of the world and how media can play a role in that. Mr Vivek Atray talked about the need of media of highlighting motivational news of the country and the world to give hope to the society and help in increasing the happiness index of people . He talked about the test match which india had won against Australia that day and how it’s inside story could motivate people and increase their happiness index . Mr Kanwar Sandhu talked about how people living in countries which have low temperature like Iceland and Denmark have better happiness index than warmer countries like India as their governments have strict guidelines of covering negative news like murders suicide etc than in india he further talked about how media should not glamorise the Stories of suicide and murder as it can have very bad repurcutions on the society. Both the speakers told the budding communication professionals to work responsibly as they will be largely responsible for the happiness index of the society.

 At the end the vote of thanks was given by Prof Jayant Pethkar a professor at the school of communication studies and the Vice Chairman of the PRCI, Chandigarh Chapter.

डाइट में डीएलएड कोर्स पुनः शुरू करे राज्य सरकार, शिक्षा का निजीकरण करना गलत : दीपांशु बंसल

एनएसयूआई आरटीआई सेल के राष्ट्रीय कन्वीनर दीपांशु बंसल ने सीएम को ज्ञापन भेजकर की मांग , बिना किसी विलम्ब के शुरू हो डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स– दीपांशु बंसल ने कहा, डाइट में जेबीटी कोर्स का खर्च मात्र 2 से 5 हजार जबकि प्राइवेट में खर्च 60 हजार से 1 लाख तक प्रतिवर्ष– शिक्षा को निजीकरण की ओर बढ़ावा दे रही राज्य सरकार, छात्रों की जेब पर डाका डालना गलत — सरकारी स्कूलों में 6 हजार से ज्यादा जेबीटी के पद खाली 

कालका/पंचकूला:

हरियाणा प्रदेश में पहले जेबीटी कोर्स यानी डीएलएड(डिप्लोमा इन एलिमेंट्री एजुकेशन) करने के लिए जिला शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थान(डाइट)की ओर से छात्रों को दो वर्षीय कोर्स की सुविधा थी जिसमे छात्रों का प्रतिवर्ष खर्च मात्र 2 से 5 हजार रुपए आता था परन्तु अब राज्य सरकार द्वारा डीएलएड कोर्स को डाइट से बन्द कर दिया गया है। कांग्रेस छात्र इकाई, एनएसयूआई आरटीआई सेल के राष्ट्रीय कन्वीनर दीपांशु बंसल ने सूबे के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल को ज्ञापन भेजकर मांग की है कि बिना किसी विलम्ब के डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स को डाइट के अंतर्गत पुनः शुरू की जाए। 

दरअसल, 2020-21 के जेबीटी प्रवेश कार्यक्रम से डाइट को बाहर कर दिया गया है जिसको लेकर एनएसयूआई ने कड़ा विरोध दर्ज करवाया है और सीएम से इसे पुनः शुरू करने की मांग की है। सरकार ने जेबीटी के लिए काउंसिलिंग कार्यक्रम जारी करते हुए केवल गैर सरकारी व सेल्फ फाइनेंस संस्थान को ही शामिल किया है। ऐसे में ग्रामीण इलाकों के छात्रों को प्रवेश लेने के लिए मोटी रकम चुकानी होगी जोकि एक छात्रविरोधी निर्णय है। 

— सरकारी में खर्च 5 हजार तक तो प्राइवेट में देनी ही 1 लाख तक की मोटी रकम…. 

एनएसयूआई नेता दीपांशु बंसल का कहना है कि प्राइवेट संस्थानों में एक छात्र को डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स करने के लिए 60 हजार से एक लाख रुपए तक खर्च करना पड़ता है। यदि अब डाइट से इस कोर्स को बन्द कर दिया गया है तो छात्रों को मजबूरन प्राइवेट शिक्षण संस्थानों का रुख करना पड़ेगा जिससे उन्हें 2 से 5 हजार तक के खर्च में मिलने वाले कोर्स को 60 हजार से 1 लाख रुपए में करना पढ़ेगा। 

— गरीब छात्र डीएलएड कोर्स के लिए रह जाएंगे वंचित… 

दीपांशु बंसल ने कहा कि डाइट जैसे महत्त्वपूर्ण संस्थान हरियाणा में कार्यरत शिक्षकों को प्रशिक्षण देते है,पुस्तकों का निर्माण करते है,विद्यालयों में चल रही ऑनलाइन अध्यापन कार्यों की मॉनिटरिंग करते है और अब ऐसे संस्थान में डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स को बन्द कर छात्रों को प्राइवेट में करने के लिए मजबूर होना पढ़ेगा जिससे गरीब बच्चे इस कोर्स से वंचित रह जाएंगे। 

— डाइट में अनुभवी तो प्राइवेट में प्रशिक्षित व अनुभवी स्टाफ की कमी… 

दीपांशु बंसल ने कहा कि डाइट में प्रशिक्षित व अनुभवी स्टाफ है जबकि प्राइवेट शिक्षण संस्थानों में स्टाफ की कमी के साथ अनुभवी व प्रशिक्षित नही है ऐसे में छात्रों को बेहतर शिक्षा का अभाव तो होगा ही वही डीएलएड कोर्स के लिए ज्यादा फीस देनी पड़ेगी। 

— सरकारी स्कूलों में 6 हजार से ज्यादा जेबीटी के पद खाली 

एनएसयूआई नेता दीपांशु बंसल ने बताया कि सरकारी स्कूलों में जेबीटी श्रेणी के 41323 स्वीकृत पदों में से 29109 पदों पर जेबीटी टीचर कार्यरत है जबकि 6000 गेस्ट कार्य कर रहे है ऐसे में स्कूलों में 6214 जेबीटी पद खाली है जिन्हें जल्दी भरा जाना जरूरी है तो वही राज्य सरकार ने जिला शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों में जेबीटी के लिए डीएलएड कोर्स को बन्द कर दिया है।

P.U. will be conducting the Online Examinations of Additional and Improvement Subjects

Chandigarh January 9, 2021

Panjab University will be conducting the Online Examinations of Additional and Improvement Subjects of Intermediate Even Semesters only. These examinations will commence w.e.f. 15th January 2021, informed Dr Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examination.

These exams will be conducted only for the students who have already filled their examination form in May 2020. The instructions for the Additional and Improvement category of exams will be same as notified earlier for other categories of exams vide notice no. 12008/CE, Dated 04.01.2021 and these instructions are already available in the notice board link of Examination website. The students must thoroughly read the instructions before appearing in the online examinations, he added.

The students can download their Roll no. w.e.f. 12th January 2021 from the UG website of the University.

  • उन्होंने कहा कि महात्मा गांधी संपादकों के आदर्शु होना चाहिए। गांधी जी ने जिस तरह से विभिन्न भूमिकाओं में रहकर अपने समाचार पत्रों को संपादित किया वह आज के संपादकों के लिए आदर्श लकीर की तरह है।
  • देश की आजादी में संपादकों का योगदान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों जितना ही है.
  • कई बार इतना भी समय नहीं होता की भाषायी अशुद्धता एवं व्याकरण की कमियों को दुरूस्त किया जाए, ऐसे में रिपोर्ट भेजते समय पत्रकार को वर्तनी और व्याकरण की अशुद्धियों का विशेष ध्यान रखना चाहिए
  • आज संपादक नाम की संस्था ढलान की ओर उन्मुख है। कई समाचार पत्रों में तो संपादकीय कॉलम की खत्म कर दिया गया है।

दुनिया का चलन है जो दिखेगा, वो बिकेगा। पत्रकारिता जगत भी इस चलन से अछूता नहीं है। निश्चित ही जो दिखता है, वही बिकता है लेकिन, पत्रकारिता जगत में ये आवश्यक नहीं। दिखने और बिकने की सोच ने ही पत्रकारिता का बेड़ागर्क किया है। पत्रकारिता जगत की बेहतरी के लिए संपादकों को इस सोच से बाहर आना होगा। उक्त विचार उच्चतर शिक्षा विभाग, हरियाणा के रूसा सलाहकार एवं वरिष्ठ संपादक अवधेश बच्चन ने सेक्टर -1 कॉलेज के पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार विभाग में उच्चतर शिक्षा निदेशालय के दिशा – निर्देश में संपादन की बारीकियाँ विषय पर आयोजित तीन दिवसीय राज्य स्तरीय मीडिया कार्यशाला में रखे। उन्होंने कहा कि पाठकों को आकर्षित करने के लिए समाचार शीर्षक का आकर्षक होना आश्यक है। शीर्षक समाचार की आत्मा है, लिहाजा शीर्षक तैयार करते समय अनर्गल शब्दों के उपयोग से बचने के साथ ही बहुअर्थी शब्दों के चयन से बचना चाहिए।

भाषायी पकड़ है जरूरी :

कार्यशाला में विद्यार्थियों को संपादन की बारीकियों से अवगत करते हुए अवधेश बच्चन ने कहा कि अच्छे संपादन कार्य के लिए भाषायी व्याकरण की जानकारी के साथ वर्तनी का ज्ञान होना आवश्यक है। वर्तनी और बिना व्याकरण ज्ञान के संपादन अधूरा है।

कॉलेज की प्राचार्या डॉ. अर्चना मिश्रा ने वक्ताओं के औपचारिक स्वागत के बाद विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि यह कार्यशाला कई मामलों में अभिनव है। इस राज्य स्तरीय कार्यशाला से हरियाणा के सभी राजकीय एवं सहायता प्राप्त कॉलेज के विद्यार्थी एवं प्राध्यापक लाभान्वित हो रहें हैं। यह दूसरा मौका है जब हरियाणा के सभी राजकीय, अराजकीय कॉलेज समेत सहायता प्राप्त कालेजों के पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार विभाग एक मंच पर आएं हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि महात्मा गांधी संपादकों के आदर्शु होना चाहिए। गांधी जी ने जिस तरह से विभिन्न भूमिकाओं में रहकर अपने समाचार पत्रों को संपादित किया वह आज के संपादकों के लिए आदर्श लकीर की तरह है।

संपादक नाम की संस्था पर बढ़ा है संकट :

कार्यशाला के पहले दिन के दूसरे सत्र में वरिष्ठ जनसंपर्क अधिकारी एवं संस्कृति कर्मी राजीवरंजन में भी विद्यार्थियों को संपादन के गुर सिखाए। उन्होंने कहा की देश की आजादी में संपादकों का योगदान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों जितना ही है। तत्कालीन संपादकों के संपादन कौशल ने ही समाचार पत्रों के माध्यम से लोगों में आजादी की ललक पैदा की थी। आज संपादक नाम की संस्था ढलान की ओर उन्मुख है। कई समाचार पत्रों में तो संपादकीय कॉलम की खत्म कर दिया गया है। ऐसे में समाचार पत्रों की विश्वसनीयता को बनाए रखने के लिए आवश्यक है कि संपादकीय कॉलम की बहाली के साथ ही संपादकों को मजबूत किया जाए।
कार्यशाला के दोनों सत्रों की अध्यक्षता राजकीय महाविद्यालय सेक्टर -14, फरीदाबाद की वरिष्ठ प्राध्यापिका प्रो. शालिनी खुराना ने की। उन्होंने कहा कि यह समय इन्फोडेमिक का है। ऐसे में प्राप्त समाचार के स्त्रोंतों की पड़ताल करना आवश्यक है। पत्रकार को हड़बड़ी से बचना चाहिए। आज पत्रकार भी संपादक की भूमिका में आ गए हैं। कई बार इतना भी समय नहीं होता की भाषायी अशुद्धता एवं व्याकरण की कमियों को दुरूस्त किया जाए, ऐसे में रिपोर्ट भेजते समय पत्रकार को वर्तनी और व्याकरण की अशुद्धियों का विशेष ध्यान रखना चाहिए।

कार्यशाला में सेक्टर -1 कॉलेज के पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार विभाग के विद्यार्थियों समेत 80 से अधिक विद्यार्थियों एवं प्राध्यापकों ने भागीदारी की। कार्यशाला का संचालन चित्रा तंवर और अनिल पाण्डेय ने किया वहीं आभार श्रेयसी ने जताया। कार्यशाला के आयोजन में डॉ. सज्जन सिंह नैन, नवीन कुमार, कुसुम रानी, गौरव कुमार, अमित दलाल, तकनीकी सहयोगी मनीषा, हिमांशु और दीपक पराशर का विशेष सहयोग रहा।

हरियाणा प्रान्त के श्याम सिंह राजावत तीसरी बार बने प्रान्त संगठन मंत्री

श्याम सिंह राजावत को पुनः हरियाणा प्रान्त संगठन मंत्री घोषित किया गया यह निर्णय बीते दिन महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर में आयोजित अभाविप ( अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद ) राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में लिया गया।उनके अतिरिक्त हरियाणा प्रदेश के पुर्व अध्यक्ष प्रो. राजेन्द्र धीमान जी को राष्ट्रीय विशेष आमंत्रित सदस्य, प्रो. सुभाष कलसना जी, माधव रावत जी, सुश्री प्रसन्ता चावरिया और सूर्य प्रताप जी को राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी सदस्य घोषित किया गया। अभाविप के मीडिया सह सन्योंजक पुरनूर ने यह जानकारी सांझा की।

सम्मेलन में अभाविप की राष्ट्रीय स्तर की समस्त सक्रिय इकाई शामिल रही जिसमे अभाविप राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष डॉ छघनभाई पटेल और राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री सुश्री निधि त्रिपाठी और उनके अतिरिक्त स्वयं सेवक एम ए सरकार्यवाह और श्री सुरेश भईया जी जोशी मुख्य परिचय में उपस्तिथ रहे।

हर साल यह सम्मेलन अभाविप इकाई द्वारा किया जाता है जिसमे देश भर से अभाविप कार्यकर्ता एक जगह एकगरित होकर परिषद के आगामी कार्यक्रम की योजनाओं पर चर्चा करते हैं और यह सब प्रतिभागी के हज़ारों की संख्या में होते हैं परंतु इस वर्ष घोर माहमारी के चलते इस कार्यक्रम को भव्य स्तर पर आयोजित न करते हुए और सामाजिक दूरी को ध्यानपूर्वक रखते हुए एक छोटे स्तर पर यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर हर एक प्रांत में से 2 या 3 प्रांतीय स्तर के कार्यकर्ताओं को अपेक्षित कर उन्हें इस सम्मेलन का प्रतिभागी बनाकर इस कार्यक्रम का उदघाटन व समापन भी किया गया यह कार्यक्रम दो दिवसीय रहा (25 दिसंबर से 26 दिसंबर) जिसमे न केवल आगामी योजनाओं पर चर्चा की गई परन्तु इस बार यह कार्यक्रम केवल उन्ही कार्यकर्ताओं तक सीमित नही रहा बल्कि जो सम्मेलन में शामिल नहीं हो सके लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग के माध्यम से उन कार्यकर्ताओं तक भी यह पहुंचा । हरियाणा प्रदेश की पूरी अभाविप इकाईयों द्वारा अपने अपने जिलों में दिखाया गया जिसका आंकड़ा कुछ इस प्रकार था की हरियाणा प्रदेश में 49 स्थानो पर49 स्क्रीन के जरिये 20 जिला 49 ईकाई के कुल 1134 सहभागियो ने भाग लिया जिनमे 846 छात्र 147 छात्रा 103 प्राध्यापक तथा 38 अन्य ने भाग लिया।

सेक्टर-1 कॉलेज में दो दिवसीय कार्यशाला का आयोजन

राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय के वूमेन स्टडीज एंड डेवलमेंट सेल द्वारा ‘सामाजिक मूल्यों का विघटन: महिलाओं की दशा’ पर दो दिवसीय वेबिनार का आयोजन किया गया।

प्राचार्या, डॉ अर्चना मिश्रा ने सत्र की अध्यक्षता की और विशेष व्याख्याता एवं वरिष्ठ पत्रकार अवधेश कुमार बच्चन का परिचय दिया।

प्रतिभागियों को ऑनलाइन संबोधित करते हुए अवधेश बच्चन ने सामाजिक मूल्यों के विघटन के परिणामस्वरूप बिगड़ती सामाजिक परिस्थितियों पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने समकालीन परिदृश्य में महिलाओं के आड़े आने वाली चुनौतियों की ओर ध्यान दिलाया। उन्होंने युवाओं में मूल्यों के विकास, युवाओं के संवेदीकरण और पतनशील प्रवृत्ति के मूल्यों को तोड़ने की आवश्यकता को रेखांकित किया ।व प्रो तरुणा ने वेबीबर का समन्वय किया।को-ऑर्डिनेटर प्रो विनीता गुप्ता ने सत्र को कुशलतापूर्वक संचालित करने के लिए सभी तकनीकी आवश्यकताओं की निगरानी और प्रबंधन किया।

महिला प्रकोष्ठ और आईक्यूएसी की सदस्य श प्रो सरिता बिश्नोई, डॉ तराना, श् प्रो ज्योत्सना कौशिक और प्रो सीमा ने कार्यक्रम के आयोजन में मदद की। प्रो मनीषा आंनद और वंदना द्वारा तकनीकी सहायता प्रदान की गई।

एक सौ छह छात्रों ने वेबिनार में ऑनलाइन भाग लिया। बी ए द्वितीय वर्ष से कोमल शर्मा और एम ए द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा राखी ने प्रासंगिक सवाल उठाए और अपने विचारों को भी साझा किया।

Sector-1 College exhibits products made by Special children

To encourage the efforts of special children with autism, cerebral palsy and mental retardation, an exhibition was organised in the Government PG College of Sector-1 in association with SOREM (Special school for children with autism, CP and MR Chandigarh).

Director General, Higher Education, Mr. Ajit Bala ji Joshi inaugurated the event as Chief guest.Principal of the college, Dr. Archana Mishra welcomed the Chief guest.

DGHE, Mr. Joshi appreciated the tiny efforts of Special students of SOREM. In his address, he said that special children can flourish in the society if they get appropriate environment and education. The special chilldren have to be given a place in the society among mainstream people, he said.

Products like candles, gift bags wrapping sheets kitchen masala paper bags embroidered pouches etc, made by special children were exhibited this event.

Mrs Sangeeta Jain,Vice Principal, SOREM said that sale of the products made by students instills confidence among them of their value to society. Director, technical education, Krishan Kataria was also present during the event.
Staff of the College purchased the products exhibited by special children to encourage them.

JAC to hold Protest against the Bank’s Possession of Aman Bhalla Engineering College at Pathankot on 5 December

The Joint Association of Colleges condemned the action of forcible possession of former Minister Raman Bhalla’s Engineering College

Mohali 4 December :

A meeting was held today in which about 1650 colleges of Punjab met through video conferencing & a protest was announced at Aman Bhalla Engineering College at Pathankot on 5 December against forceful possession.

Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, JAC and S. Jagjit Singh, President, JAC said that the government should ensure that the possession of the colleges whose Post Matric Scholarship is still due, should not be given to banks. The Punjab Government must release the scholarship amount to SC students and unaided colleges so that a good environment for education can be created.

 Dr. Anshu Kataria, Co-Chairman, JAC said that on one hand around Rs 7 crores of Aman Bhalla Engineering College is still due from Government of Punjab under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme but on the other hand the bank has taken over the assets of 25-30 crores of the college. While giving more information to media he said that the College is liable only for 1.70 crore loan amount of The Hindu Cooperative bank.

Charanjit Singh Walia and Manjit Singh, Patron JAC said that from last 4 years, 1650 unaided colleges in Punjab have been struggling to get release Rs 1850 crore, while due to nonpayment of loan government & private banks are taking over the possession of various colleges.

In this Protest around 13 associations from Punjab including  S. Charanjit Singh Walia, President, Nursing Association; S. It is to mention that The Hindu Cooperative Bank took over possession of Aman Bhalla Engineering College on December 2, 2020 due to non-payment of loan.
