Around 84000 students took Online Exam by PU on Day 1

Around 84000 students of Undergraduate/Post Graduate/Other Professional Courses including USOL/Private have appeared today in the online examination conducted by Panjab University which commenced today. Exams for 78 papers were conducted on Day 1 of the Exams. The examinations are being conducted in 2 slabs of 9.30am-12.30 pm and 1.30pm-4.30 pm.

All the Colleges/Departments downloaded the question papers as per the scheduled time from PU Website and official email IDs provided to them. The question papers were further distributed to students through various electronic modes.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor remained connected with the Controller to take stock of the situation.

Dr. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examination expressed his gratitude to all the Chairpersons/College Principals/Coordinators/ Supporting Staff for the successful commencement of the online exams. He further informed that many queries received were resolved by COE and his technical team. He further informed that around 2,86,812 students will be taking various exams being conducted by PU with a break up as given below:-

पंचकूला अभाविप (अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद) इकाई कुरूक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा लिए गए कोरोना माहमारी के लक्षणों के चलते जो कि अभी भी सामाजिक दूरी का ध्यान न रखते हुए फैल रहे हैं उससे छात्रों का संगरक्षण करते हुए ऑनलाइन व ऑफलाइन दोनो माध्यमों से परीक्षा लेने के फैसले का स्वागत करती हैं। अभाविप (अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद) सदैव ही छात्र हित के लिए आगे आया है इसीलिए इस बार भी परिषद छात्र हित में आये इस फैसले का पूर्ण रूप से स्वागत करता है।

फैसले की घोषणा होने पर अभाविप जिला संयोजक बलराम भरद्वाज ने बताया कि यह अभाविप की एक बड़ी जीत है! अभाविप द्वारा दिए गए ज्ञापन एवं अल्टीमेटम का प्रभाव विश्वविद्यालय पर पड़ा एवं यह निर्णय पूर्ण रूप से छात्र हित में है क्योंकि विश्वविद्यालयों में विद्यार्थियों की परीक्षाओं को लेकर अलग अलग मांग है कुछ परीक्षा ऑनलाइन माध्यम तो कुछ ऑफ़लाइन माध्यम से देना चाहते हैं और इस निर्णय की वजह से सभी विद्यार्थी खुश हैं और साथ ही अवसर पर अभाविप कार्यकर्ता पवन दुबे ने कहा कि कुरूक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा परिक्षाओं को आफलाइन एवं आनलाइन दोनों माध्यमों से परिक्षाओं को आयोजित करने के फैसले का हम स्वागत करते हैं अभाविप हमेशा ही छात्र हितों के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहती है!

School of communication Studies, Panjab University Chandigarh in association with Public Relations Council of India Chandigarh Chapter held an online  annual alumni meet on 19 January  from 330 pm to 430 pm . 

The opening remarks of the programme informing about the objectives and activities of PRCI at the National as well as International level, were given by Ms Renuka Salwan who is the National Zonal Head ,PRCI. 

Welcome remarks were presented by Dr Sumedha Singh, Chairperson, School of Communication Studies. Dr Singh said that happiness is present within us and it’s flow should be inside – out.

Intro of the speakers was given by Mr Charanjit Singh who is the Senior Vice President of national executive, PRCI and MD,  Core PR,a PR agency in Chandigarh. 

The key speaker of the event was Mr Vivek Atray, former IAS officer, a motivational speaker, a columnist and Chairman, Chandigarh Chapter of PRCI. Mr Kanwar Sandhu, an eminent journalist and former editor of eminent newspapers like The Tribune, Indian Express and the Hindustan Times and now the MLA from Kharar, Panjab honoured the event as a chief guest.

 The speakers talked about the happiness index of the world and how media can play a role in that. Mr Vivek Atray talked about the need of media of highlighting motivational news of the country and the world to give hope to the society and help in increasing the happiness index of people . He talked about the test match which india had won against Australia that day and how it’s inside story could motivate people and increase their happiness index . Mr Kanwar Sandhu talked about how people living in countries which have low temperature like Iceland and Denmark have better happiness index than warmer countries like India as their governments have strict guidelines of covering negative news like murders suicide etc than in india he further talked about how media should not glamorise the Stories of suicide and murder as it can have very bad repurcutions on the society. Both the speakers told the budding communication professionals to work responsibly as they will be largely responsible for the happiness index of the society.

 At the end the vote of thanks was given by Prof Jayant Pethkar a professor at the school of communication studies and the Vice Chairman of the PRCI, Chandigarh Chapter.

The second day of the international Self development program organised in collaboration with Heartfulness Institute of Sri Ram Chandra Mission Chennai.

            More than 135 participants joined for interactive session with Dr Pramod Sadarjoshi. The keynote speaker for Session 2 of the SDP7 Dr. Pramod Sadarjoshi is the Founder and CEO of Talentsmith Consulting. Mr. Pramod’s accomplishments range across various fields : Business Strategy & Transformation, Business development& consulting, Sales & marketing, coaching at the CEO/CXO levels. He had the experience of working with Siemens Citibank, HDFC bank, Microsoft, Jp morgan, CSC, KPMG, and Oracle. being a recipient of many HR awards at various conferences and events, he has played an active role in forums like CII, FICCI, NASSCOM, NHRDN, ISTD, NIPM. In addition to this, he had been a visiting faculty at IIMs and IITs and is an executive coach at ISB, Hyderabad for the programme titled LSTM, which is co-conducted with London Business School faculty.

It was a scintillating session with Dr. Pramod Sadarjoshi ji where he shared not only his presentation but plethora of examples, qoutes, scenes from movies  and helped us to arrive at one truth. 

That truth is that we have to take charge of our life courageously with faith in ourself and in  a higher power. 

The process of decluttering mind of fears,doubts and worries has to begin with our own effort. The technique of cleaning was shared and a session of 15 minutes was executed in virtual mode so that experience becomes the basis of belief. 

Only when we take charge of cleaning of our negativity, will we be able to live with lightness that allows for creativity, self-confidence and feeling fulfilled. 

Nurturing your own self through heartful meditation is not to be postponed, but is to be started today. 

Dr. Pramod suggested participants to keep a diary to note experience of daily meditation and see the transformation. 

Participants included students, faculty and community members too. An exhaustive QNA session was the highlight of the program.

            Dr. Rai said that the theory of evolution has now developed to the extent that it can now address questions about our happiness, ethics, hunch feeling, behavioral strategies, and healthy lifestyle. These questions as well as the question of the origin of life and biodiversity was earlier addressed only in the domain of religion, he said. He informed that a scientific answer to these questions can make everyone’s life better. In this book, the answer to these questions as well as the new concerns arising from personal genome sequencing is articulated in easy language, he added. He further informed that the latest understanding of the perception of God, superstitions and some counter-intuitive phenomena are also summarised in this book.

डाइट में डीएलएड कोर्स पुनः शुरू करे राज्य सरकार, शिक्षा का निजीकरण करना गलत : दीपांशु बंसल

एनएसयूआई आरटीआई सेल के राष्ट्रीय कन्वीनर दीपांशु बंसल ने सीएम को ज्ञापन भेजकर की मांग , बिना किसी विलम्ब के शुरू हो डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स– दीपांशु बंसल ने कहा, डाइट में जेबीटी कोर्स का खर्च मात्र 2 से 5 हजार जबकि प्राइवेट में खर्च 60 हजार से 1 लाख तक प्रतिवर्ष– शिक्षा को निजीकरण की ओर बढ़ावा दे रही राज्य सरकार, छात्रों की जेब पर डाका डालना गलत — सरकारी स्कूलों में 6 हजार से ज्यादा जेबीटी के पद खाली 

कालका/पंचकूला:

हरियाणा प्रदेश में पहले जेबीटी कोर्स यानी डीएलएड(डिप्लोमा इन एलिमेंट्री एजुकेशन) करने के लिए जिला शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थान(डाइट)की ओर से छात्रों को दो वर्षीय कोर्स की सुविधा थी जिसमे छात्रों का प्रतिवर्ष खर्च मात्र 2 से 5 हजार रुपए आता था परन्तु अब राज्य सरकार द्वारा डीएलएड कोर्स को डाइट से बन्द कर दिया गया है। कांग्रेस छात्र इकाई, एनएसयूआई आरटीआई सेल के राष्ट्रीय कन्वीनर दीपांशु बंसल ने सूबे के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल को ज्ञापन भेजकर मांग की है कि बिना किसी विलम्ब के डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स को डाइट के अंतर्गत पुनः शुरू की जाए। 

दरअसल, 2020-21 के जेबीटी प्रवेश कार्यक्रम से डाइट को बाहर कर दिया गया है जिसको लेकर एनएसयूआई ने कड़ा विरोध दर्ज करवाया है और सीएम से इसे पुनः शुरू करने की मांग की है। सरकार ने जेबीटी के लिए काउंसिलिंग कार्यक्रम जारी करते हुए केवल गैर सरकारी व सेल्फ फाइनेंस संस्थान को ही शामिल किया है। ऐसे में ग्रामीण इलाकों के छात्रों को प्रवेश लेने के लिए मोटी रकम चुकानी होगी जोकि एक छात्रविरोधी निर्णय है। 

— सरकारी में खर्च 5 हजार तक तो प्राइवेट में देनी ही 1 लाख तक की मोटी रकम…. 

एनएसयूआई नेता दीपांशु बंसल का कहना है कि प्राइवेट संस्थानों में एक छात्र को डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स करने के लिए 60 हजार से एक लाख रुपए तक खर्च करना पड़ता है। यदि अब डाइट से इस कोर्स को बन्द कर दिया गया है तो छात्रों को मजबूरन प्राइवेट शिक्षण संस्थानों का रुख करना पड़ेगा जिससे उन्हें 2 से 5 हजार तक के खर्च में मिलने वाले कोर्स को 60 हजार से 1 लाख रुपए में करना पढ़ेगा। 

— गरीब छात्र डीएलएड कोर्स के लिए रह जाएंगे वंचित… 

दीपांशु बंसल ने कहा कि डाइट जैसे महत्त्वपूर्ण संस्थान हरियाणा में कार्यरत शिक्षकों को प्रशिक्षण देते है,पुस्तकों का निर्माण करते है,विद्यालयों में चल रही ऑनलाइन अध्यापन कार्यों की मॉनिटरिंग करते है और अब ऐसे संस्थान में डीएलएड/जेबीटी कोर्स को बन्द कर छात्रों को प्राइवेट में करने के लिए मजबूर होना पढ़ेगा जिससे गरीब बच्चे इस कोर्स से वंचित रह जाएंगे। 

— डाइट में अनुभवी तो प्राइवेट में प्रशिक्षित व अनुभवी स्टाफ की कमी… 

दीपांशु बंसल ने कहा कि डाइट में प्रशिक्षित व अनुभवी स्टाफ है जबकि प्राइवेट शिक्षण संस्थानों में स्टाफ की कमी के साथ अनुभवी व प्रशिक्षित नही है ऐसे में छात्रों को बेहतर शिक्षा का अभाव तो होगा ही वही डीएलएड कोर्स के लिए ज्यादा फीस देनी पड़ेगी। 

— सरकारी स्कूलों में 6 हजार से ज्यादा जेबीटी के पद खाली 

एनएसयूआई नेता दीपांशु बंसल ने बताया कि सरकारी स्कूलों में जेबीटी श्रेणी के 41323 स्वीकृत पदों में से 29109 पदों पर जेबीटी टीचर कार्यरत है जबकि 6000 गेस्ट कार्य कर रहे है ऐसे में स्कूलों में 6214 जेबीटी पद खाली है जिन्हें जल्दी भरा जाना जरूरी है तो वही राज्य सरकार ने जिला शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों में जेबीटी के लिए डीएलएड कोर्स को बन्द कर दिया है।

बीसीआई के एक वर्षीय एलएलएम कोर्स को खत्म करने की अधिसूचना को सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में चुनौती

याचिका में यह भी कहा गया है कि उक्त नियम अधिवक्ता अधिनियम, 1961 के प्रावधानों का उल्लंघन है। याचिकाकर्ता के अनुसार, नियमों में किए गए संशोधन भारत के संविधान के तहत पेशे की प्रैक्टिस के अधिकार का उल्लंघन करते हैं और बीसीआई की ओर से एक साल के एलएलएम पाठ्यक्रम को समाप्त करने का कोई उचित औचित्य नहीं है।

नयी दिल्ली(ब्यूरो):

भारत में एक साल के एलएलएम कोर्स को खत्म करने की बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया (बीसीआई) की हालिया अधिसूचना को चुनौती देते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट के समक्ष एक याचिका दायर की गई है।

याचिकाकर्ता एक लॉ स्टूडेंट तमन्ना चंदन ने अपनी याचिका में शिक्षा के अपने मौलिक अधिकार का उल्लंघन होने का हवाला देते हुए बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया लीगल एजुकेशन (पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट, डॉक्टोरल, एग्जीक्यूटिव, वोकेशनल, क्लिनिकल एंड अदर कंटीन्यूइंग एजुकेशन) रूल्स, 2020 को चुनौती दी है।

अधिवक्ता राहुल भंडारी के माध्यम से दायर याचिका में यह भी कहा गया है कि उक्त नियम अधिवक्ता अधिनियम, 1961 के प्रावधानों का उल्लंघन है। याचिकाकर्ता के अनुसार, नियमों में किए गए संशोधन भारत के संविधान के तहत पेशे की प्रैक्टिस के अधिकार का उल्लंघन करते हैं और बीसीआई की ओर से एक साल के एलएलएम पाठ्यक्रम को समाप्त करने का कोई उचित औचित्य नहीं है।

याचिका में एक और तर्क दिया गया है कि यूजीसी, विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग के अधिकार क्षेत्र में भारत में उच्च कानूनी शिक्षा के नियमों को विनियमित करने की बीसीआई को शक्ति प्राप्त नहीं है।

बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया ने बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया लीगल एजुकेशन (पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट, डॉक्टोरल, एग्जीक्यूटिव, वोकेशनल, क्लीनिकल एंड अदर कंटीन्यूइंग एजुकेशन) रूल्स, 2020 को अधिसूचित किया है, जिसमें लॉ (एलएलएम) में एक साल की मास्टर डिग्री को खत्म करने का प्रयास किया गया है।

नए नियमानुसार,

” विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग द्वारा 2013 में भारत में शुरू किए गए (अधिसूचना के अनुसार) एक वर्ष की अवधि के लॉ मास्टर डिग्री प्रोग्राम इस अकादमिक सत्र तक ऑपरेटिव और मान्य रहेगा। इस दौरान इन नियमों को अधिसूचित और लागू किया जाएगा, लेकिन इसके बाद देश के किसी भी विश्वविद्यालय में ये मान्य नहीं होगा।”

नए नियम में कहा गया कि पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट (स्नातकोत्तर डिग्री) लॉ में मास्टर डिग्री एलएलएम चार सेमेस्टर में दो साल की अवधि का होगा। इसके अलावा, एलएलएम पाठ्यक्रम केवल कानून स्नातक तक ही सीमित है।

PU VC felicitates Employees for Commendable Work

The Vice Chancellor Panjab University Chandigarh,Prof Raj Kumar today felicitated employees for commendable  contribution , in addition to their own seats, towards efficient and smooth functioning of the University. The names of employees were finalised to give honour/incentive for suitably awarding them on The Independence Day,2020 but due to Covid19 , it was postponed.

A small ceremony was organised today at the VC office following all Covid norms. PU VC congratulated all these employees for their dedication and hardwork and encouraged them to continue doing so in future assignments also.Mr Vikram Nayyar, Finance and Development Officer and officiating Registrar also extended his heartiest congratulations to all awardees and urged them to carry on with the same spirit so that others are inspired too.

Panjab University will be conducting the Online Examinations of Additional and Improvement Subjects of Intermediate Even Semesters only. These examinations will commence w.e.f. 15th January 2021, informed Dr Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examination.

These exams will be conducted only for the students who have already filled their examination form in May 2020. The instructions for the Additional and Improvement category of exams will be same as notified earlier for other categories of exams vide notice no. 12008/CE, Dated 04.01.2021 and these instructions are already available in the notice board link of Examination website. The students must thoroughly read the instructions before appearing in the online examinations, he added.

The students can download their Roll no. w.e.f. 12th January 2021 from the UG website of the University.
