            प्रख्यात हृदय रोग विशेषज्ञ डॉ. गुरप्रीत सिंह वांडर को बाबा फरीद यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ हेल्थ साइंसेज, फरीदकोट का नया वीसी नियुक्त किया गया है। इस बात की जानकारी पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान ने अपने एक ट्वीट के जरिए दी है।  मुख्यमंत्री ने उम्मीद जताई है कि नए वीसी के कुशल नेतृत्व में यह संगठन जनसेवा में अहम योगदान देगा।

            आजकल डा.अवनीश कुमार कार्यकारी वी.सी. लगाए गए थे।डा. राज बहादुर ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था।

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh,Department of Defence and National Security Studies Panjab University, Chandigarh organised a Webinar on the theme “Emerging New World Order – Redefining South Asia’s Strategic Architecture” on 29th September 2022. Maj. Gen (Dr.) G G Dwivedi (Retd.) was the key speaker.

Dr Jaskaran Singh Waraich, Chairperson of the Department of Defence and National Security Studies, welcomed the guests present for the event.Dr Shaveri Thakur introduced the speaker to the audience and also highlighted the significance of the theme.

 Gen. Dwivedi discussed the power dynamics in the history of international relations and how empires broke up and new empires emerged.He talked about four orders i.e, the European Order, Islamic Order, Chinese Order, and American Order wherein the European order talks about international affairs, the Islamic system is more on the expansionist side like Ottoman Empire, the Chinese order focusses on the authority of the king and finally the American orderis based on a democratic system, values , and human rights. Furthermore, he highlighted the change after World War I like the treaty of Versailles and later after WW II, the creation of the United Nations.

Hepointed out the emergence global players after World War II, the coming of ideological power blocks and the Cold war period where the world has seen direct confrontation but the continuation of proxy war. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, it was certainly time for China to rise and also posing as a major competitor to the US. The global balance of power is always in flux and the major powers of the world are seeing their future in the Indo-Pacific and in the Asia Pacific Region.

He further pointed out the role of non-state actors such as the ISI and other terrorist organizations and their role in shaping global power flux. While explaining the Russo-Ukraine war, he pointed out the significance of Ukraine to Russia and NATO’s role in shaping and supporting Ukraine in the present format. The webinar was concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Mandeep Singh. It was attended by the students, research Scholars and the faculty of the department.

            With a pulsating ambience, super-cool crowd and foot-tapping music, the Freshers’ Party, ‘Hola Juniors 2022′ began with a blast at the campus on September 23, 2022. Prof. Jagtar Singh, Dean of Students Welfare, Panjab University Chandigarh graced the occasion as Chief guest. The officiating Director, UIAMS, Dr.Anupreet Kaur Mavi gave the welcome address and applauded the endeavours of the students for organising a lively event. The chief guest  blessed the freshers for the exciting journey that they are about to embark upon. And inspired the students to have an enriching, enjoyable, liberating and life-changing time at the campus of one of the premium institutes of Panjab University i.e.,UIAMS. Continuing with the proud tradition of the institute, senior students and newcomers of the college mingled with each other at the Freshers’ welcome party. Inquisitive about campus life and conscious of the latest fashion trends, the fresher’s dressed their best. The excitement augmented to a joyful high when seniors began with their star performance. Talent and enthusiasm were clearly in sync as students presented exemplary performances including Ramp walk, Natti, Bhangra and Songs. The student organizing committee convener Aashray with his team planned and organized the event meticulously so that it had all the ingredients of fun and entertainment.

            After initial rounds of exemplary performances, the talented young freshers dazzled the stage as they walked the ramp. The judges had a difficult time deciding on the winners as the participants came up with some fantastic performances! Various titles were keenly contested, and the participants were judged on different parameters of talent, quirkiness, presentability and smartness. Finally, the coveted title of ‘UIAMS Mr.Fresher’ went to Abhinav Sharma, M.B.A(Pharmaceutical Management) ‘UIAMS Ms. Fresher’ went to Kashish Katyal, M.B.A.(Banking & Insurance Management).   Nipun Singla (M.B.A. Retail Management) and Aditi Guleria (M.B.A. Capital Markets)were declared Mr. Handsome  & Ms. Gorgeous respectively; while Navpreet Singh M.B.A.( Banking & Insurance Management) and Navjot Kaur from M.B.A. Hospital Management were winners of the Mr. & Ms. Personality titles. The winners were felicitated with trophies and sashes by Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, Prof.Nishi Sharma, Dr.Anupreet Mavi, Dr.Rachita Sambyal, Dr.Naveen Kumar and the event coordinator Dr.Harsh Tulli. Dr.Amandeep Singh Marwaha, Training & Placement Officer, UIAMS was the force behind the smooth and disciplined conduct of the entire event.  The occasion was relished by the faculty, staff and students of UIAMS. The event concluded with a DJ-Dance party followed by dinner.

प्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार डॉ विनोद कुमार शर्मा का नव प्रकाशित काव्य संग्रह ‘शिखर की ओर’ का आज विमोचन संवाद साहित्य मंच के तत्वाधान में केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय, हिमाचल प्रदेश के कुलपति एवं वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार पद्मश्री डॉ हरमहेंद्र सिंह बेदी ने पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय के आईसीएसएसआर सभागार में किया।

डॉ बेदी ने शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा यह काव्य संग्रह लोगों को एक नई दिशा प्रदान करेगा। यह संग्रह आशावादी एवं प्रेरणादायक कविताओं से परिपूर्ण है। सुप्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार प्रेम विज ने शुभाशीष देते हुए कहा कि इस काव्य संग्रह  में परिवार, समाज, परिवेश और व्यवस्था के साथ-साथ  विचार और भाव की कविताएं हैं।

 स्वतंत्रता सेनानी उत्तराधिकारी कल्याण एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष केके शारदा, भंडारी अदबी ट्रस्ट के चेयरमैन एवं जाने-माने शायर अशोक नादिर, राजेश शर्मा और मधु शर्मा ने बधाई देते हुुए कहा कि यह संग्रह भारतीय संस्कृति, संस्कार और मानवीय मूल्यों को लिए हुए है।

अमेरिका से पधारीं विद्या धाम की अध्यक्षा डॉ सरिता मेहता ने कहा कि यह काव्य संग्रह साहित्य के क्षेत्र को उच्चतम ऊंचाइयों तक ले जाने में एक मील का पत्थर साबित होगा।  डॉ विनोद शर्मा ने बताया उन्होंने काव्य संग्रह अपनी धर्मपत्नी अंजू मोदगिल को समर्पित किया है।

इस काव्य संग्रह में कुल 48 रचनाएं हैं।  इससे पूर्व उनका काव्य संग्रह बढ़ते कदम ही प्रकाशित हो चुका है जिसे पाठकों ने बहुत सराहा था। इस मौके पर ट्राइसिटी के कई सुप्रसिद्ध साहित्यकार उपस्थित थे।

           In order to celebrate the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat during the Seva Saptah, University Institute of Applied Management Sciences under the able guidance of Prof. Raj Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor organized a seminar on “Entrepreneurship Awareness Program”. The  esteemed keynote speakers were  Sh. Kundan Lal Singh, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Ludhiana; Ms. Mandeep Kaur Tangra, CEO, Simbha Quartz; Sh. Jatinder Singh, MD, M/S Endico Power Tools; Shri Hari Singh, LDM, Punjab National Bank, Chandigarh; Ms. Vijayta Sharma, Manager Food & Technology, Department of Industries, Chandigarh Administration.  The seminar was conducted in the august presence of Shri Virinder Sharma, Director MSME- DFO, Ludhiana and the chief guest for the event, Prof. Harish Kumar, Panjab University.

           The seminar was coordinated by the Entrepreneur and Corporate Relation Cell of UIAMS under the guidance of Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director UIAMS and Dr. Manu Sharma, Faculty Co-ordinator ECRC Cell.

           The seminar commenced with a welcome address conferred by Dr. Manu Sharma after which Sh. Kundan Lal Singh, addressed the students highlighting the purpose, importance and the objectives of this seminar and how he hoped it would leave a positive impact on the students, raise awareness amongst them about Entrepreneurship, various schemes of government which enable and support entrepreneurs .

           Ms. Mandeep Kaur Tangra was the next to address, as she walked the students through her Entrepreneurial journey, the challenges she faced and shed light on the key aspects of Simba Quartz’s business model. Emphasising on the ‘Why’ aspect of the business, she asked the students to figure out their mission, vision, purpose of the entrepreneurship venture they want to start and did so by giving an example of Simba Quartz whose mission is ‘Changing lives,’ and the progression, creation of jobs in her native village.

           Taking on the baton, Sh. Jatinder Singh walked the students through his Entrepreneurial journey, and reiterated that it was essential to know the purpose, drive behind establishing a business. He also highlighted the importance of Brand Building, Customer Dealing, Satisfaction by citing an example of his joint venture Endico Power Tools.

           Hari Singh then educated the students about various Financial Schemes of the government to support entrepreneurs. He talked about various sources of finance, different types and categories of loans and how to avail them.

           Ms. Vijayta Sharma acquainted the students about the initiative of Ministry of Food Processing Industry (MoFPI) and the PRADHAN MANTRI FORMALISATION OF MICRO FOOD PROCESSING ENTERPRISES SCHEME under which financial assistance, capacity building training etc. is provided.

            Shri Virinder Sharma delivered the final address where he highlighted some important skills and qualities of the entrepreneurs- passion, determination, self motivation and he hoped that the students would come up with great ideas and utilise the ecosystem which the government was providing to aid self employment & entrepreneurship.

           A doubt clearing question-answer session marked as the last activity of the webinar and it was concluded with a vote of thanks for the key speakers for taking out time to share their valuable knowledge with the students.

“End Racism, Build Peace” organised by PU

            Mahatma Gandhi Peace Club of Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education, Panjab University today celebrated International Day of Peace on the Theme: “End Racism, Build Peace” with great enthusiasm and fervour.

            On this Occasion Dr. Kanwalprect Kaur (Event coordinator) welcome the faculty and students. In her address she said that Racism continues to poison Institutions, social structures, and everyday life in every society. It continues to be a driver of persistent inequality. And it continues to deny people their fundamental human rights. It destabilizes societies, undermines democracies, erodes the legitimacy of governments.

            Dr. Kalpana Thakhur, Chairperson, IETVE appreciated the efforts of the students and said “a peaceful society is one where there is harmony between the different institutions and equal opportunities for everyone. Peace will enable a sustainable environment to take shape and a sustainable environment will help promote peace”. She emphasised Instead of fighting each other, we should be working to defeat our true enemies: racism, poverty, inequality, conflict, the climate crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. Poster making and slogan writing competitions were organised on the theme “End Racism and Build Peace”. Student participated in large number. Later name of the winners of the different activities were announced.

            Muskan Gupta, Pragya Gupta and Jaismeen Kaur won the first, second and third prizes in poster making competition. In slogan writing competition Kanak, Bhumika and Simran Rawat won the first, second and third prizes. Students recited poems, gave speeches, presentations and presented skits highlighting the different aspects of Racism and discriminations occurring across the World. The response of the students was overwhelming for this event.

LPU में छात्र ने की आत्महत्या, लिखा अंतिम आरोप पत्र, छात्रों ने आरोपियों के नाम पूछे, पुलिस ने किया लाठीचार्ज

            चंडीगढ़ यूनिवर्सिटी का विवाद अभी खत्म भी नहीं हुआ कि विवादो में रहने वाली जालंधर की लवली प्रोफेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी में देर रात हंगामा हो गया।

                    केरल के रहने वाले एक छात्र ने यूनिवर्सिटी के हॉस्टल में सुसाइड कर ली। छात्र इजिन एस दिलीप कुमार पुत्र दिलीप कुमार के कमरे से सुसाइड नोट भी मिला घटना के बाद यूनिवर्सिटी के गुस्साए छात्रों ने हॉस्टल से निकलकर हाईवे पर रात भर हंगामा मचाया। उन्होंने यूनिवर्सिटी प्रशासन के खिलाफ नारेबाजी की। छात्रों का आरोप है कि जिस स्टूडेंट की मौत हुई है, वह बच सकता था, लेकिन यूनिवर्सिटी में एम्बुलेंस ही देर से पहुंची।


                    छात्र मांग कर रहे थे कि मृतक के कमरे से जो सुसाइड नोट मिला है, उसे सार्वजनिक किया जाए। स्टूडेंट्स वी वांट जस्टिस के नारे लगा रहे थे। पुलिस रातभर माहौल को शांत करने की कोशिशों में जुटी रही।


                    पुलिस अधिकारी ने छात्रों को स्टेटमेंट्स दर्ज करवाने को कहा और कहा जो भी दोषी होगा, उसके खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई करेंगे, लेकिन छात्र मान नहीं रहे थे। छात्र कह रहे थे कि सुसाइड नोट में मृतक ने जिनके नाम लिखे हैं, जिन्हें आत्महत्या के लिए दोषी माना है, उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया जाए। उसके बाद ही वह प्रदर्शन बंद करेंगे।

असफलता सफलता के स्तंभ हैं

            थोड़ी सी भी असफलता कोई मायने नहीं रखती। वास्तव में सफलता की राह असफलताओं से घिरी होती है। प्रत्येक असफलता के साथ व्यक्ति सफलता के निकट आता जाता है और प्रत्येक पतन के साथ व्यक्ति ऊँचा उठता जाता है। असफलताओं के बारे में बात करना विरोधाभासी और विरोधाभासी लग सकता है और सफलता के साथ-साथ गिरता है और उच्चतर होता है। लेकिन यह एकदम सच है। प्रत्येक असफलता व्यक्ति को सफलता के करीब ले आती है क्योंकि प्रत्येक असफलता के भीतर सफलता का एक पाठ छिपा होता है।

            बच्चे का पहला कदम देखें। वह एक कदम आगे बढ़ता है लेकिन फिर दूसरे पर गिर जाता है और ठोकर खा जाता है। लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि बच्चा कभी भी चलना नहीं सीखेगा क्योंकि वह शुरुआत में ही लड़खड़ा गया था। बल्कि उसकी ठोकर यह सुनिश्चित करती है कि वह जल्द ही न केवल चलना बल्कि दौड़ना भी सीख जाएगा। आकाश में एक पक्षी को देखो, वह कैसे फड़फड़ाता है, फड़फड़ाता है और विफल हो जाता है। इसके पंख कांपते हैं क्योंकि यह उड़ने का पहला प्रयास करता है। यह कोशिश करता है और विफल रहता है। लेकिन हार नहीं मानता। और अंत में एक और प्रयास के साथ, यह अपने पंख फैलाता है और उस अनंत नीला नीले आकाश में चला जाता है जो इसके छोटे से महत्वपूर्ण प्रयासों की सराहना करता प्रतीत होता है।

            दीवार पर चढ़ने की कोशिश करने वाली चींटी की कहानी अक्सर कही जाती है। यह कुछ इंच रेंगता है और गिरता है। लेकिन फिर कोशिश करता है। दरअसल, चींटी दीवार की चोटी तक पहुंचने की कोशिश में असीमित कोशिश करती रहती है। देखने वाला ऊब जाता है, थक जाता है और दिल हार जाता है। लेकिन चींटी नहीं करती। यह तब तक कोशिश करता रहता है जब तक कि यह शीर्ष पर न पहुंच जाए।

            इतिहास भी ऐसे उदाहरणों से भरा पड़ा है जहां असफलताओं की एक श्रृंखला से गुजरने के बाद ही सफलता मिली। किसी भी महान व्यक्तित्व के जीवन की कहानी को देखने के लिए यह देखना होगा कि चांदी की थाली में सफलता कभी नहीं मिलती है। वास्तव में सफलता का स्वाद चखने से पहले कई बार प्रयास करना पड़ता है।

            महात्मा गांधी, जवाहरलाल नेहरू, वल्लभभाई पटेल सहित भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को असंख्य बार असफलताओं का सामना करना पड़ा, लेकिन उन्होंने भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लक्ष्य को सबसे ऊपर रखा और इसलिए, भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ। महान वैज्ञानिक थॉमस एल्वा एडिसन बिजली के बल्ब का आविष्कार करने से पहले 10,000 बार असफल हुए। स्टीव जॉब्स को उसी कंपनी से बाहर कर दिया गया था जिसे उन्होंने शुरू किया था। लेकिन वह एक शुरुआत की तरह फिर से शुरू करने की संभावना से उत्साहित था।

            हालाँकि, आज के समय में, हम पाते हैं कि एक टोपी की बूंद पर लोगों का दिल टूट रहा है। परीक्षा के फोबिया और साथियों के दबाव के शिकार हो जाते हैं छात्र। हर किसी को अपने आप से बहुत उम्मीदें होती हैं, जो पूरी न होने पर उन्हें अवसाद और यहां तक ​​कि आत्महत्या तक ले जाती है। यह महसूस करना महत्वपूर्ण है कि असफलता दुनिया का अंत नहीं है। उठने और चमकने के भरपूर अवसर होंगे।

ENACTUS Team & Girls Hostel No. 3, P U organised workshop “MYTHARCHE- TRANSFUSING NEXTGEN PERSPECTIVE”

            Enactus team of Panjab University, a Non-Profit Organisation is working towards creating a better future for underprivileged women of Nayagaon through Project Uday. The project aims at providing cloth-based alternative to plastic based sanitary napkins. By sparking conversations about menstruation and menstrual hygiene, Enactus team is helping break the taboo around the topic and making people aware about the benefits of using eco-friendly sanitary napkins, conveyed Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor of team.

            Enactus team along with Girls Hostel No. 3 (GH3) organised “Mytharche”, workshop on Menstrual Health & Hygiene, 4th in series at GH3, Sarojini Hall, Panjab University, conveyed Prof. Kapoor. This series was launched in April 2022 by Enactus team in collaboration with Versatile group, Ludhiana & DIR-India to promote reusable cloth based sanitary napkins designed by the trio, told Preet Kanwal, President, Enactus team.

            Prof. Roopali Garg (DSW Women), Dr. Simran Preet, Warden, GH3, Gurleen Kaur (Mrs. Punjaban 2017), Dr.AvneetKaur (Chairperson, Department of Biophysics), Dr.Sarv Narinder Kaur, Dr. Harjit Kaur, Dr. Twinkle Bedi, Dr. Pavitra Ranawat, Dr.Smita Sharma were amongst the other dignitaries present for the event. Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Chief Medical Officer, Panjab University, during her expert talk shared valuable knowledge on general menstrual health, access and availability of affordable and effective menstrual hygiene products and how to tackle the stigma around menstruation. She also told that many girls are coming to her with problems associated with plastic based sanitary napkins like redness and rashes, infections on using them for a longer duration, etc. She educated the audience on the benefits of cloth based sanitary napkins which are soft on the skin, environmentally friendly and cost effective.

            The talk was followed by a theme based theatrical performance by the Drama Team of Panjab University on how the upcoming generation should help in dismantling the taboos associated with menstruation and the steps to be taken to make the topic more approachable, told Sanya Prabhaker, Content Head. A zealous & mesmerizing performance by the drama team left the audience spell bound and was highly appreciated by one and all.

            Prof. Rupali Garg (DSW Women) appreciated the Enactus members on their effort to bring forth a change in the society. She remarked how little changes like these make the world a safer and kinder place for everyone.We all must have the capacity in ourselves to unlearn the mindset that has been inculcated and try to change with times to become a more inclusive society.

CU MMS Case : लड़की को ब्लैकमेल कर बनवाए वीडियो, मुंबई, गुजरात से आए थे फोन काल्स

            चंडीगढ़ युनिवेर्सिटी मोहाली MMS मामले में आरोपियों के वकील के मुताबिक, वीडियो बनाने वाली लड़की को ब्लैकमेल किया जा रहा था।   एक वीडियो आरोपी लड़की की है और दूसरी वीडियो कोई और लड़की की है।  यही नहीं, उसने एक नहीं बल्कि दो-दो वीडियो बनाए गए थे।  पुलिस सूत्रों के मुताबिक, इस मामले में एक चौथा शख्स भी है जो युवती को ब्लैकमेल कर रहा था।  उसका गिरफ्तार होना बाकी है।  फिलहाल खरड़ कोर्ट ने तीनों आरोपियों को 7 दिन की पुलिस रिमांड पर भेज दिया है।  आरोपियों के वकील संदीप शर्मा ने कहा, पुलिस ने 10 दिन की रिमांड मांगी थी लेकिन 1 हफ्ते की रिमांड मिली है।

            पंजाब की चंडीगढ़ यूनिवर्सिटी के गर्ल्स हॉस्टल में वीडियो बनाने और लीक करने के मामले में गिरफ्तार लड़की सहित उसके दो सहयोगी लड़कों से पूछताछ के दौरान बड़ा खुलासा हुआ है।  पुलिस सूत्रों का कहना है कि दोनों आरोपी लड़के वीडियो बनाने वाली लड़की को ब्लैकमेल कर रहे थे।  हॉस्टल में रहने वाली लड़की ने दोनों आरोपियों को अपना वीडियो बनाकर भेजा था, जिसे वायरल करने की धमकी देकर वे अन्य लड़कियों के वीडियो बनाने की मांग कर रहे थे।  सूत्रों का कहना है कि आरोपियों के पास से एक और वीडियो भी बरामद किया गया है, लेकिन इस वीडियों में दूसरी लड़की की शक्ल नहीं दिख रही है।

            मोहाली पुलिस ने आरोपी लड़की और उसके 2 साथियों, 31 साल के रंकज वर्मा और 23 वर्षीय सन्नी मेहता, को शिमला से गिरफ्तार किया है।  जब इन आरोपियों को कोर्ट में पेश किया गया तो पुलिस ने दावा किया कि इनके तार इंटरनेशनल गैंग से जुड़ रहे हैं।  पुलिस ने कोर्ट में यह भी दावा किया था कि सीयू के छात्राओं के कुछ और भी वीडियो बने हैं।  पुलिस ने कहा था कि आरोपी सन्नी एक खास गैजेट में वीडियो सेव करके रखता है और उसे शिमला से बरामद किया जाना है।  इसके बाद ही लड़की सहित तीनों आरोपियों को कोर्ट ने 7 दिन का पुलिस रिमांड दिया है।

            पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार छात्रा को धमकी दी गई कि उसका वीडियो वायरल कर दिया जाएगा। वीडियो वायरल न करने के बदले लड़की पर हास्टल की दूसरी छात्राओं का अश्लील वीडियो भेजने का दबाव बनाया गया। इसके बाद लड़की अन्य छात्राओं के वीडियो भी भेजने लगी। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार यह भी आशंका जताई जा रही है कि इन वीडियो को आगे कहीं बेचा जाता होगा। फिलहाल पुलिस इस एंगल पर भी जांच कर रही है। मामले के तार गुजरात और मुंबई से भी जुड़ रहे हैं।

            इसी बीच सोमवार को पुलिस ने आरोपित लड़की, उसके ब्वायफ्रेंड सनी और रंकज वर्मा को खरड़ अदालत में पेश किया। पुलिस ने तीनों आरोपितों का दस दिन का रिमांड मांगा। हालांकि अदालत ने तीनों को सात दिन के पुलिस रिमांड पर भेजा है।

            पुलिस ने अदालत को बताया कि तीनों आरोपितों के मोबाइल फोन पर गुजरात और मुंबई से भी कई काल्स आई हैं। उनका इनसे क्या कनेक्शन है इस संबंध में तीनों से पूछताछ की जाएगी। पुलिस ने बताया कि इस मामले में एक अन्य शख्स भी शामिल है। उसे गिरफ्तार किया जाना बाकी है। उसकी तलाश की जा रही है।

            पुलिस के अनुसार जांच में पता चला है कि युवती अपने ब्वायफ्रैंड सनी को जो वीडियो भेजती थी, उसे वह किसी अन्य डिवाइस में स्टोर करता था। सनी से वह डिवाइस बरामद की जानी है।

            अब तक प्रशासन और पुलिस यह कहती आई कि आरोपित लड़की ने एक ही वीडियो बनाया था, जोकि उसका खुद का था। लेकिन अदालत में बताया गया कि लड़की ने दो वीडियो बनाए थे। दूसरा वीडियो किसी और छात्रा का था। एडवोकेट संदीप शर्मा ने कहा कि दूसरी वीडियो में किसी का चेहरा नजर नहीं आ रहा और वह वायरल भी नहीं हुआ है। वकील ने यह भी कहा कि रंकज का इस मामले में कोई लेना देना नहीं है। जिस चौथे शख्स ने लड़की को ब्लैकमेल कर यह वीडियो बनवाए हैं उसने अपने आइपी अड्रेस पर रंजत की फोटो लगाई थी और वह रंकज बनकर ही युवती से चैटिंग कर रहा था।

            युवती सहित तीनों आरोपितों के मोबाइल फोन जांच के लिए फारेंसिक लैब भेजे गए हैं। जांच में पता चला है कि तीनों ने अपने मोबाइल से कई वीडियो डिलीट किए हैं। पूरा डाटा रिकवर करने के लिए आइटी एक्सपर्ट टीम काम कर रही है। तीनों आरोपितों के खिलाफ आइपीसी की धारा 354 सी (किसी को छिपकर देखना) व 66ई (किसी आपत्तिजनक चीज को इंटरनेट पर फैलाना) के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। इन धाराओं के तहत एक से तीन साल तक की जेल का प्रावधान है। अगर दोबारा से इन्हीं धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज होगा तो सात साल की कैद का प्रविधान है।

            इस मामले में पुलिस बार-बार बयान बदल रही है। एफआइआर में पुलिस ने छह छात्राओं के अश्लील वीडियो बनने की बात लिखी है। रविवार को मोहाली के एसएसपी विवेक सिंह सोनी ने एक वीडियो की बात कही थी, जोकि पकड़ी गई लड़की का ही था। वहीं, सोमवार को अदालत में पुलिस ने बयान दिया कि दो अश्लील वीडियो बनाए गए हैं।
