Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sumit R/o # 2902, Sector-66, Mohali (PB), Sarabjit Singh @ Satta R/o Village-Dhurali, Distt-Mohali (PB) and Maninder Singh @ Manny R/o Village-Dhurali, Distt Mohali (PB) in Baleno car No. CH-121(T)-1552 and recovered one pistol (made in USA), one magazine with 4 cartridges  and 2 desi katta’s with 2 cartridges from their possession at road back side of Police Line, Sector-26, Chandigarh towards BDC light point to St. Kabir Turn on 13.09.2020. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV theft

Vishal Mishra R/o # 6, Village-Buterla, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Discover M/Cycle No. CH-01AQ-2763 parked near Village Buterla Gate, Sector 41, Chandigarh on the night intervening 12/13-09-2020. A case FIR No. 284, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, one person namely Jatinder R/o # 1594/B, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (age 23 years) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

 Suraj Arya R/o # 26, Village-Khudda Jassu, Chandigarh, reported that unknown person stole away battery from his Mahindra Pick-up No. CH-03S-6372 and also stolen batteries of other vehicles Maruti car No. CH-03R-2308, Tavera car No. PB-01A-4448, Maruti car No. HP-11-9139, Maruti Zen car No. CH-01BD-8963, Mahindra Pick-up No. CH-01TA-1978, Maruti car No. CH03-1786 and Maruti car No. HP-62B-0838 while all vehicles parked near his house on the night intervening 12/13-09-2020. A case FIR No. 117, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh Investigation of the case is in progress.
