One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against a person who was arrested while consuming liquor at different public places on 06.10.2019. Later he was released on bail.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Bachan R/o # 2485, Sector-Mauli Complex, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 120 quarters of country made liquor near his residence on 06.10.2019. A case FIR No. 177, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Mithilesh Shah R/o # 1319, Block-C, Dhanas, Chandigarh, while he was illegally possessing 48 quarters of country made liquor near Sports Complex, Sector-56, Chandigarh on 06.10.2019. A case FIR No. 353, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

          Chandigarh Police arrested Ricky R/o # 719/15, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh, while playing satta at BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 06.10.2019. Total cash Rs. 1240/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 234, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under theft

A case FIR No. 267, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sohan Lal R/o # 291, near SBI Bank, Village Kaimbwala, Chandigarh who alleged that Ravi Kumar R/o near Gurudwara Sahib, Village Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh was caught red handed while he was stealing complainant’s bicycle from Parking of Sai Baba Mandir, Sector-29, Chandigarh on 06.10.2019. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 125, U/S 279, 337, IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harish Khanna R/o 1223, Sector-50-B, Chandigarh against driver of car No. PB65AK8481 namely Parvesh Kumar Rana R/o # 1034/F, Sector 7/B, Chandigarh, who hit to complainant’s car No. CH01AR8417 near Sector 49/50 light point, Chandigarh on 05.06.2019. Later accused arrested in this case and released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No.354, U/S 279, 337, IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of a girl namely Babita R/o # 83, EWS Colony, Chandigarh against unknown driver of unknown car who sped away after hitting to a pedestrian lady namely Usha Rani Sharma R/o # 1219, Sector-22-B, Chandigarh near Santokh Hospital, Sector 38A, Chandigarh on 06.10.2019. Pedestrian person got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A case FIR No. 253, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector 32, Chandigarh reported that unknown person on Activa Scooter number not known snatched away complainant’s gold chain near H.No. 3724, Sector-32-D, Chandigarh on 06.10.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.
