Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place
One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 30.07.2019.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Three arrested under NDPS Act
Operations Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Shashi R/o village- Kandi Danuga, 77 Palampur, Distt.- Kangra, Himachal Pradesh from near Old Distt. Court, Sector- 17, Chandigarh and recovered 600 gram Charas from his possession on 30.07.2019. A case FIR No. 238 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj R/o Tiwana P.G House, Matour, Distt.- Mohali, Punjab from near Madarsa at Sector- 55/56 dividing road, Chandigarh and recovered 30 injections of drugs from his possession on 30.07.2019. A case FIR No. 251 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Ashutosh Sodha R/o # 1262, Sector- 51/B, Chandigarh from T-Point near Petrol Pump Sector- 39, Chandigarh and recovered 24 injections of drugs from his possession on 30.07.2019. A case FIR No. 252 U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for possessing illegal liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj Kumar R/o # 635, Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh while he was illegally possessing 24 quarters of country made liquor from Fish market, DMC, Chandigarh on 30.07.2019. A case FIR No. 111, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
Sayansh Jindal R/o # 585, Sector- 16, Distt.- Panchkula, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away 01 laptop, 01 camera, 01 hard disc, power bank and mobile charger from complainant’s i-20 car No. HR-03U-0737 after broken rear side window glass while parked near SBI Bank, Sector- 17, Chandigarh on 30.07.2019. A case FIR No. 239, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Ashutosh R/o # 1158, Sector- 44/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away 02 laptops, mobile charger, wi-fi dongle, 01 pen drive from complainant’s car No. CH-01AN-8835 after broken back side window glass while parked near BSNL Office, Sector- 17, Chandigarh on 30.07.2019. A case FIR No. 240, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Sambhav Dvsad R/o # 50/B, Kamla Nagar, Sanganer, Jaipur, Rajasthan reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s 01 laptop and purse containing documents and some cash ISBT, Sector- 43, Chandigarh on 27.07.2019. A case FIR No. 162, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 112, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Chirag Sharma R/o # 337, Village- Maloya, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of truck No. PB-65AS-8992 namely Shahnawaj Khan R/o village- Sisora Nahid, Distt.- Lakhimpur Khiri, Uttar Pradesh who hit to complainant’s bicycle near Shahpur light point Sector- 38 West, Chandigarh on 27.05.2019. Complainant got injured admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
