Four persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public   place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-PS-03 = 1 case, PS-49 = 1 case & PS-39 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 142, U/S 419, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Chaudhary Vikas Malik, Vice President, Bar Association PB & HR, High Court, Chandigarh who alleged that Kamini Sharma R/o # 49-B, Sec-44/A, Chandigarh misrepresenting herself as an advocate without having any law degree, authority and enrollment  as an advocate with Bar Council at High Court. Alleged has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Manoj Kumar R/o # 1158, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away  2 gold mangal sutra, one gold ear ring, one pair silver anklet, and one mobile phone from complainant’s residence after breaking locks of main door on intervening night 29/30-04-2019. A case FIR No. 59, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

        Rupinder Singh R/o # 180, Sector-41/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. CH-01BN-1848 parked at open space near Store No. 178/2, Sec-41 Chandigarh on intervening night 20/21-04-2019. A case FIR No. 116, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

A lady resident of Village Daddu Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person occupant of black color M/Cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile Phone near light point, Sector 38/40, Chandigarh on 30.04.2019. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
