Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          One case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 25.02.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajinder R/o # 737, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh from market, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 15 quarters of country made liquor on 25.02.2019. A case FIR No. 755, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Kumar R/o Gali No.2, Friends colony, Distt.-Kaithal, Haryana near Govt. Toilet to Kacha Rasta, bank Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh and recovered 30 gram Heroin from his possession on 25.02.2019. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Suresh Kumar R/o Flat No. 57/A, Metro Town, Peer Machala, Zirakpur, Punjab near Vikas Nagar Light Point, Chandigarh and recovered 30 gram Kokin from his possession on 25.02.2019. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Gursewak Singh R/o # 163, Phase-1, Sector-55, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s mobile phone from Leisure valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 24.02.2019. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh alleged that her husband resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 43, U/S 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-51/A, Chandigarh, alleged that her husband & others resident of Gurugram, Haryana harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 44, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt.-Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 45, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-52, Chandigarh, alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt.-Mohali, Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 46, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt.-Mohali, Punjab harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 47, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Hallomajra, Chandigarh, alleged that her husband resident of Sector-52, Chandigarh harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 48, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Missing/Kidnapped

A case FIR No. 74, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of a person resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh who reported that his brothers age about 12 years, 14 years & 13 years have been missing near his residence since 24.02.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

       Sube Singh Dhillon R/o Dhillon Niwas, Vidya Nagar, Distt.-Bhiwani, Haryana reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s swift car No. HR-16R-5123 from High Court parking on 25.02.2019. A case FIR No. 58 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Shivam R/o # 106, Daddu Majra Colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01AX-8701 while parked in geology Department parking, Punjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh on 20.02.2019. A case FIR No. 58 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sameep Kumar R/o # 520/220, Sujan Pur Road, Village- Khan Pur, Pathankot, Punjab reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s activa scooter No. CH-01AY-6781 from parking of Chief Auditor Society, Sector-50/B, Chandigarh in between 02.02.2019 to 25.02.2019. A case FIR No. 18 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 36, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Indst. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sagar @ Bunty R/o # 144, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against driver of truck No. PB-13AR-4803 namely Bhupinder Singh R/o Village- Fatehgarh Channa, PO-Gajewas, Distt.-Patiala, Punjab who hit to motor cycle No. HR-03R-1824 near crimination ground, Village- Daria, Chandigarh on 25.02.2019. Driver of activa scooter namely Rajat and pillion rider namely Sagar got injured and admitted in Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later both refer to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 73, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh against driver of truck No. PB-32-C-8837 sped away after hitting to alto car No. CH-03Z-6120, Corolla car No. HR-26DN-7024, Maruti 800 Car No. CH-01BL-6572, activa scooter No. CH-01BD-5373 near Airport Light Point, Chandigarh on 24.02.2019. None injured only vehicles damaged. Investigation of the case is in progress.
