Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 03 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

          In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 07 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public  place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-19= 1 case, PS-Mauli Jagran = 1 case, PS-34= 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Piyush Kumar @ Pawan (age-23 yrs) R/o VPO- Sainj, PS-Danjar, Distt.-Kullu, Himachal Pradesh from BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered 95 gram Charas from his possession on 06.01.2019. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Defacement of Property Act

A case FIR No. 04 U/S 3 Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Public Property Act 2007 has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against unknown person who put black paint/color on the sign board of Rajeev Gandhi College Bhawan, near Shastri Nagar Light Point on 05.01.2019. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

          Kamlesh Chander R/o # 300, Phase-3, B-1, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab reported that unknown persons tried to stolen the money after broken the cash box of Sidh Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Sector-29, Chandigarh on 06.01.2019. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 380, 457, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-46/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s purse containing cash Rs. 5,500/- to 6,000/- and ATM Card near Sidh Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Sector-29, Chandigarh on 30.12.2018. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Charanjit Singh R/o # 2040, Phase-2, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Motor Cycle No. CH-01BK-8063 while parked near complainant’s residence on night intervening 09/10.12.2018. A case FIR No. 04, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Krishan Kumar R/o # 3060/1, Sector-47/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s car No. CH-01AM-3326 while parked near complainant’s residence on 03.01.2019. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.      

Missing/Abduction

A lady resident of Village-Kaimbwala, Chandigarh reported that his daughter age about 15 years has been missing/abducted from near # 1609, Sector-07, Chandigarh since 05.01.2019. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh.       

Dowry

A lady resident of Sector-19/B, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Ambala City, Haryana harassed complainant’s to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 323, 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector-32, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Distt.-Ambala, Haryana harassed complainant’s to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Trespassing

          Arvind Kumar R/o # 611/A, Village-Hallomajra, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person locked complainant’s room from outside and also stolen articles on 06.01.2019. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 453, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
