Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 29.12.2018. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Arjun R/o # 1557, Village Dhanas, Chandigarh from near Bus Stop DMC turn, near CTU Workshop, Chandigarh while illegally possessing 180 boxes containing quarters of English wine in Mahindra Pick-up No. CH-01TB-6928 on 28.12.2018. A case FIR No. 246, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested with 28 injections of drugs

Chandigarh Police arrested Sahil R/o # 2604, Sector-25, Chandigarh near Mori Gate, Sector-25, Chandigarh and recovered 28 injections of Buprenorphine & Pheniramine Meleate drugs from his possession on 29-12-2018. A case FIR No. 364, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

Rohit R/o # 1645/G, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that Vikas and others attacked on complainant with sharp weapon near Ground, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 24.12.2018. A case FIR No. 310, U/S 147, 148, 341, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Alleged persons namely 1.) Vikas Kumar R/o # 144/C, EWS Colony, Dhanas 2.) Sonu R/o # 264, EWS Colony, Dhanas 3.) Aamir Ansari R/o # 512/A, EWS Colony, Dhanas and 4.) Vijay Kumar R/o # 333, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Burglary

Mohit Sharma R/o # 95, Sector-21, Chandigarh reported that unknown person tried to commit theft at Verka Booth No. 21/2, Sector-21/A, Chandigarh by breaking the lock on the night intervening 28/29-12-2018. A case FIR No. 340, U/S 380, 457, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Akleshar Tiwari # 217, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Auto No. CH-01TA-2730 while parked near his house on night intervening 18/19.12.2018. A case FIR No. 315, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mangu Ram R/o Village-Bajarpur, P.O.-Tangor, Distt-Kurukshetra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. HR78A1490 while parked near Allen Institute, Sector-34, Chandigarh on 17.12.2018. A case FIR No. 441, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Nanak Singh R/o # 1475/A, Sector-41/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AW-6426 from parking of Fragrance Park, Sector-36, Chandigarh on 24.12.2018. A case FIR No. 452, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

        Razab Hussain R/o # 1376, near Kissan Atta Chakki, Village-Burail, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person occupant of M/Cycle sped away after snatching his mobile phone at dividing road, Sector 45/46, near Dev Samaj College, Chandigarh on 29.12.2018. A case FIR No. 442, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 224, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against driver of unknown vehicle who sped away after hitting to a pedestrian person (unidentified) at dividing road, Sector 44/51, Chandigarh on 29.12.2018. Injured person has been admitted in PGI, Chandigarh and declared unfit for statement by doctors. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Trespassing

A lady alleged that landlord namely Dr. Daljit Singh Kohli R/o # 1071, Sector 43B, Chandigarh and his wife trespassed at complainant’s residence i.e. # 1071, Sector 43B, Chandigarh and threatened complainant and her son and also locked the house from outside on 29.12.2018. A case FIR No. 453, U/S 448, 342, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector 40, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons stolen away cash Rs. 5 lakh and mobile phone from her house on 20-12-2018. A case FIR No. 483, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
