Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 15 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 15 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 15 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:-  PS-11= 1 case, PS-17= 1 case, PS-19 = 2 cases, PS-26= 1 case, PS-MM= 5 cases, PS-I.T Park= 2 cases, PS-MJ= 2 cases, PS-39= 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Des Raj R/o # 755/1, Thakur Dwara Mandir, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, Sajid R/o # 1138/2, Gobind Pura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh and Gurdeep Singh R/o # 637/4, Mata Raj Kaur Gurudwara, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Shivalik Garden Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 24.11.2018. Total cash Rs. 5,800/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 444, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Sh. Pankaj Dogra R/o # 3028, Sector-20/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Pulsar M/Cycle No. PB-13BD-4159 while parked near his residence on night intervening 22/23-11-2018. A case FIR No. 324, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Binder Kumar R/o # 2112/1, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AU-8830 from parking near Union Bank, Sector-40/C, Chandigarh on 14-11-2018. A case FIR No. 447, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

        A lady resident of Sector 38(W), Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01A-6622 while parked near her residence on 24-11-2018. A case FIR No. 232, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector 30, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away four alloy wheels of her Verna car No. PB-07AF-0123 while parked near # 180/A, Sector-30, Chandigarh on night intervening 23/24-11-2018. A case FIR No. 336, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Bunty Kumar R/o # 2349, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that two unknown person stolen away his Peti (Box) containing Bedi & Cigarettes and cash Rs. 2500/- from near his house on 24-11-2018. A case FIR No. 430, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Adarsh Mahajan R/o # 3322/1, Sector-21/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen gold and silver jewelry from his house on 24-11-2018. A case FIR No. 321, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 360, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the statement of Surinder Singh R/o # 116, Village Bhabhat, Distt. Mohali (PB) against driver of Wagon-R Car No. HR-51AM-0956 who wrongly parked his vehicle without parking indicator on at dividing road, Sector 16/23, Chandigarh on 24.11.2018. Resultantly to which one M/Cycle No. CH-01BA-6025 struck with said. M/Cycle driver Kiran Kumar R/o SCO No. 187, Shashtri Market, Sector-22, Chandigarh got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Later driver of car namely Raj Kumar R/o # 1709, DMC arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
