Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Three different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-3, Chandigarh against three persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Action against Gambling/Satta
Chandigarh Police arrested 1) Harjinder Singh R/o # 285, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh 2) Binder R/o # 1375/7, Phase-11, Mohali, Punjab 3) Ravi R/o # 6, Mahavir Market, Village- Dhanas, Chandigarh 4) Satpal R/o # 2895, DMC, Chandigarh while they were gambling near tubewell, EWS Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh on 10.11.2018. Total cash Rs. 37,500/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 285, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for MV theft
Sh. Mohit Singh R/o # 3237/1, Sector-45/D, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stolen away Complainant’s M/Cycle No. HR-05AG-1883 while parked near his residence on 03.10.2018. Later one person namely Soman Chouhan R/o Sekho Nursing Home, Sector-33, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 401, U/S 379 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
A lady resident of Sector-21/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa No. HR-06T-4760 while parked near French Department, Punjab University, Sector-14, Chandigarh on 02.11.2018. A case FIR No. 330, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Rioting
Sh. Bittu R/o # 831/A, Small Flats, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged that Sandeep R/o # 485/B, EWS Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh and 7/8 unknown persons beaten/threatened complainant near # 831, EWS Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 286, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Alleged person namely Sandeep R/o # 485/B, EWS Colony, Village-Dhanas, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Quarrel
A lady resident of Sector-20, Chandigarh alleged that Rajdeep Singh, Khushdeep Singh and Pavneet all resident of Sector-32, Chandigarh quarreled and outraged modesty, threatened and attacked complainant at her residence on 07.11.2018. A case FIR No. 314, U/S 323, 354, 452, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
Sh. Rajesh Khurana R/o # 725, Sector-41/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Battery from complainant’s Maruti 800 car No. CH-03L-2374 while parked near his house on night intervening 09/10-11-2018. A case FIR No. 433, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
