PHDCCI Organises ‘Business Beyond Borders – Africa Calling Panchkula’ to Explore Investment Opportunities in Africa

Punjab,Chandigarh & Haryana Region of PHDCCI & International Affairs and Trade Fairs Division of PHDCCI in association with ARISE IIP organised an Interactive Session on “Business Beyond Borders – Africa Calling Panchkula,” to explore manufacturing opportunities in Africa.
Welcoming the delegates Adv. Lokesh Jain, Co-Chair, Haryana State Chapter, PHDCCI highlighted the significance of fostering stronger ties with Africa and the potential for mutual growth through enhanced trade and investment.
Delivering a comprehensive presentation, Mr. Vijay Shekhawat, Head, North India, ARISE IIP, offered a thorough overview of Africa’s emerging markets, highlighted key sectors for manufacturing investment, and discussed the strategic benefits of entering this rapidly growing continent.
Mr. Amit Kaushik, ARISE- IIP emphasized that Africa is the continent of the future, noting that several countries, particularly in West and Central Africa, are already engaged in significant business with India. Additionally, he outlined the various incentives and services provided by ARISE IIP to Indian investors.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Saurabh Munjal, Co-Chair, Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI who reaffirmed PHDCCI’s dedication to promoting cross-border business relations and creating opportunities for growth and investment for businesses in both India and Africa.
Mr Abhishek Banwara, Sr. Secretary, PHDCCI moderated the open house which was held afterwards, during which various queries were raised and addressed by the representatives of ARISE and PHDCCI.
The session was moderated by Ms. Bharti Sood, Regional Director, PHDCCI. She gave an overview of the significance of international collaboration in today’s globalized economy and discussed PHDCCI’s role in enhancing trade relations between India and Africa. She informed the participants about various initiatives and partnerships already in place, as well as the potential for further collaboration in the years ahead.
An exclusive B2B session was also held, where interested manufacturers explored the potential of investments in Africa. Over 60 leading industry houses from Tricity and stakeholders interested in expanding their businesses into the African market participated in the session.
