Vishwas Foundation President Sadhvi Neelima Vishwas said that 67 donors registered to donate blood in the camp, 17 were refused to donate blood due to health-related problems. The team sent from Blood Bank GMCH Sector-32 Chandigarh under the guidance of Dr. Ravneet Kaur collected 50 units of blood. The cooperation of Raj Kumar Sharma, Jaswant Singh Jassa, Kulwinder Cheema, Ajit Kumar, Hardev Singh, Jagdish Singh Sarao, Narinder Singh Jawaharpur, Surinder Singh in making the camp successful was highly commendable.

Raj Kumar Sharma and Jaswant Singh Jassa said that people have this misconception that donating blood causes weakness in the body. Donating blood does not cause any weakness, rather everyone must donate blood once in 90 days. This helps the needy and also keeps the body healthy. Blood donation is a great donation and there is no substitute for blood nor can it be made artificially. A noble act like donating blood is of greatest service.

Kulwinder Cheema said that in the past there were many types of misconceptions like blood donation causing weakness in the body and illness, but today these misconceptions have been dispelled and our youth are donating blood in large numbers. It is a matter of happiness that today our daughters are also not lagging behind the boys in the matter of blood donation and are themselves coming forward and donating blood. Precious lives can be saved by timely availability of blood. If we can save someone’s life through blood donation, then there can be no greater favor than this.

Sadhvi Neelima Biswas told that at the end of the camp, all the blood donors were honored by giving appreciation letters and gifts. On this occasion, Rishi Saral Vishvas, Ramesh Suman, Varinder Kumar, Madhu Khanna, Harkamal Sharma, Gopika Manocha, Janak Munjal Vikas Kumar and other distinguished guests from Vishwas Foundation were also present.
