Healthcare Seminar on ” Workplace Ethics in Healthcare Industry: Recent Issues and Trends” at UIAMS, PU

University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University was proud to host a transformative Healthcare Seminar focused on “Workplace Ethics in Healthcare Industry: Recent Issues and Trends”. The National Seminar was a dynamic platform for healthcare professionals, students, researchers, and industry experts to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore the latest issues and trends as experienced in healthcare industry. Prof. Amit Chauhan, DSW, Panjab University was the chief guest of the event. He motivated the students to be ethical in whichever domain they work and also adopt ethical practices in campus where they are studying. 110 students and research scholars attended the seminar. Dr. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS welcomed the guest and highlighted that ethics are important w.r.t. peers, customers and one’s performance at workplace and in society.

Renowned healthcare professionals and researchers lead thought-provoking discussions on various topics. Dr. Krishan Kumar, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, PGI, Chandigarh shed light on Workplace Ethics in healthcare industry and challenges faced. Dr. Sonika Bakshi, Chitkara University gave meaningful insights on true meaning of Ethics in healthcare industry through classical case studies. Mr. Gladwin Nayyar, Paras Hospital, communicated, short brief of work culture at Paras Hospital in relation to ethical conduct and a detailed Q&A session.

The seminar was graced by presence of the Director – Prof. Monika Aggarwal, faculty coordinators – Dr. Arunachal Khosla, Dr. Aman Khera and Dr. Ajay Dogra, UIAMS faculty organisers, research scholars and students. The participants engaged with speakers from different niche to expand professional understanding, gain knowledge and explore the viewpoints of various professionals as per their job profile and experience. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ajay Dogra and Dr. Arunachal Khosla.
