Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh celebrated the birth anniversary of the first Guru and Founder of Sikhism, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with spiritual resonance and communal harmony. The school echoed with the peaceful sounds of shabad and kirtan, creating an atmosphere of reverence and togetherness.

The celebrations started with the recitation of the Mool Mantra by the students and staff. Gurpreet Singh, a student of Class 7 gave a speech on the preachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji highlighting the significance of ‘Naam Japo, Kirat Karo and Wand Chhako’. This was followed by soulful renditions of Shabad Kirtan by the students and staff.

The ceremony culminated with a communal langar organized by the school, embodying Sikh principles of selfless service and equality. The entire school community shared a humble meal nurturing bonds of unity and understanding. Kadha Parshad was distributed in the school.

The school Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur felicitated the students and staff on the joyous occasion and emphasized upon the universal teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, especially about the oneness of all and the empowerment of women.
