P U Commemorated  Independence Day under the  “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan”

Koral ‘Purnoor’, Demokretic Front, Chandigarh  –   12 August 22  : 

            The Centre for Human Rights and Duties, Panjab University, Chandigarh, commemorated  Independence Day under the  “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan”  under the aegis of  ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark 75th Years of India’a Independence  with the children of  Anganwadi Centre at Village Faidan Nizampur, Chandigarh

The outreach commemorative activity was led by by Research Scholars Ashima Kathuria, Poonam Beniwal  & Kiran Parihar under the guidance of Chairperson, Dr. Upneet Kaur Mangat & Prof. Namita Gupta.

As part of the celebration, drawing and singing competition  was organised for the children  at the Anganwadi Centre and they  were made to draw National Flag as a part of drawing competition and the students sang patriotic songs. The winners were duly awarded  and refreshments were distributed to the children. The children also sang National Anthem with full pride and enthusiasm. The celebration was concluded with slogans, “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, “Vande Matram” & “Humara Desh Mahan.”
