Three Ph.D. Scholars of Dr. Kewal Krishan qualified the FACT and FACT Plus -2022

Three Ph.D. research scholars of the Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, have qualified the FACT and FACT plus exam (Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test) 2022, in the subject of Forensic Biological Sciences. The exam was conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The PhD scholars, Rakesh Meena, Ankita Guleria and Nandini Chitara are pursuing their PhD under the supervision of Professor (Dr.) Kewal Krishan, a renowned forensic anthropologist.
Rakesh Meena is a Forensic Document Examiner and has joined Ph.D. in Dec. 2020. He has cleared UGC-NET exam three times and now availing the fellowship by Ministry of Tribal Affairs (NFST) for pursuing Ph.D.
Ankita Guleria is a Gold Medalist in Masters of Forensic Science (2017-19) and has joined Ph.D. in November 2020 and presently availing prestigious INSPIRE fellowship by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.
Nandini Chitara has recently joined her Ph.D. and she has qualified UGC-NET and JRF in 2020. She also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Sciences (Dyal Singh College, Karnal).
After successfully qualifying the FACT examination, the students have become eligible to work in any Forensic Science laboratory/Forensic Science Institute of India. Prof. Kewal Krishan added that this is a pride moment for Panjab University that the students have qualified the examination and the PU is the right place for such brilliant students for pursing their doctoral research. The students are thankful to Panjab University authorities for providing all the facilities which allowed them to go through the relevant material and books.
