A Seven day NSS camp on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat and Jal Shakti Abhiyan inaugurated at PGGC-46

Chandigarh :

A sevenday NSS camp on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat and Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ was inaugurated at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh. Prof. Yojna Rawat, Department of Hindi, USOL, Panjab University was the chief guest. Principal of the college, Dr. Abha Sudarshan welcomed her. Dr. Rawat applauded the efforts of the college in organising such events help todevelop a holistic personality of the volunteers and prepare them with the basic skills to face the challenges of life. Squadron Leader Mr. Vivek Chaudhary introduced the audience to Sehaja Yoga in his session.Over the next seven days, the camp will cover an array of activities like motivational lectures on different topics, yoga and meditation, swachhta, water conservation, shramdan, environment, blood donation, women education, road safety and traffic awareness. An awareness campaign will also be run in the adopted village Ramdarbar during these seven days.A total of 200 volunteers are participating in the camp. Dean Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Dr. Simmi Arora, Vice Principal of the college were also present during the camp. Mr. Praveen Chaubey, Dr. Ritu Sarsoha, Ms. Pooja Gupta, Mr. Arvinder Singh  (programme officer) are the organizers of the camp.
