Haryana Yog Aayog organized a 750 million Surya Namaskar event at Bhanu Training Centre (BTC), ITBP, Ramgarh

Panchkula February 15:

 Under the banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” of 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence, Haryana Yog Aayog organized a 750 million Surya Namaskar event at Bhanu Training Centre (BTC), ITBP, Ramgarh today under the guidance of  Chairman,  Haryana Yog Aayog, Dr. Jaideep Arya.

IG, BTC Sh Ishwar Singh Duhan, DIG, BTC Sh. Rajesh Sharma and Sh. Ashwani Kumar, Commandant BTC, Sh. Vikrant Thapliyal and BTC officers, Sub-Ordinate Officers participated in this event along with enthusiastic participation of more than 2000 ITBP soldiers.
The event commenced with a lamp lightening ceremony by Dr. Jaideep Arya and Officers along with their families.

 Dr. Jaideep Arya addressed all the officers and soldiers and gave them a warm welcome speech. Dr. Jaideep Arya embarks the practice with chanting and musical Surya Namaskar. He explained about the breathing pattern with every Asana of Surya Namaskar and its benefits on body and mind and said that regular practice of Surya Namaskar enhances the vitality in the body. He emphasized that we should inculcate the Surya Namaskar practice in our daily routine to stay mentally and physically fit. He further added that the initial target of 750 million Surya Namaskar has been achieved, and now we are looking forward to completing the125 crore Surya Namaskar by 20 February 2022.

Dr. Jaideep urged everyone to register for Guinness World Record and uploads their photos at 75suryanamaskar.com and makes this historic event a global success. Dr Jaideep Arya practiced a variety of Pranayama with the audience and elucidated the related health benefits .He said that in this pandemic era, Pranayama practices are the safest and easiest method to prevent COVID-19 as pranayama strengthens the Pulmonary system and enhances the function of lung capacities.

The IG of Bhanu Training Centre, Sh. Ishwar Singh Duhan spoke at large about the importance of Yoga and motivated everyone to continue the practice of Surya Namaskars for the mental and physical health benefits. He shared his thoughts on Yoga and explained that Yoga is the union of individuals with higher consciousness.

 Dr Saras Jyoti shared the overview of Research on Surya Namaskar conducted by Haryana Yog Aayog. Haryana Yog Aayog took the opportunity of conducting two survey-based research projects. The first one is analysis of cognitive skills in college and school students in three states that is Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and two Union territories that is Delhi and Chandigarh and college students of Haryana. The Second one is to study the impact of the 750 Million Surya Namaskar project on physical, mental, and spiritual wellness of people. These surveys were conducted globally. The preliminary results from the survey data revealed that Surya Namaskar is beneficial for health, vitality and spiritual upliftment. The data also indicates that School and college students need to improve their cognitive skills by practicing Surya Namaskar.

The Registrar of Haryana Yog Aayog Dr. Harish Chander, Project Director Priyanka and other employees of Haryana Yog Aayog, Mr.Umesh Narang from Haryana Yogasana Sports Association, Mr. Ritesh Bansal from District Yogasana Sports Association contributed significantly in organizing this event.
