Tree Plantation at PU

Chandigarh September 29, 2021

            The Department of Life Long Learning & Extension and Centre for Social Work in collaboration with Horticulture Wing of Panjab University organized a Tree Plantation Drive in the front and the surrounding of Emerging Area Building today.  Shrubs and trees like Hibiscus, Almenda and Ficus were planted and some herbs like Tulsi and Shrubs like Kaner and Chinese Rose were planted. Besides this, landscaping in three vacant spaces was done.

                        All the faculty and staff members of the Emerging Area Building actively participated in this drive. On the occasion, Dr. P.S. Kang, Chairperson, DLLL&E and Dr. Gaurav Gaur, Chairperson, Centre for Social Work, PU also addressed the gathering and conveyed the importance of Trees for the healthy environment. All corona protocols were observed by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
