One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

          Chandigarh Police arrested Abhishek R/o # 333/A, Ravindra Enclave, Ph-2, Baltana (PB) while he was consuming liquor at a public place near Wine Shop, Village-Daria,  Chandigarh on 26.07.2021. A case FIR No. 113, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Gattu R/o # 1244, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh (Age 19 Years) and recovered 11 bottles and 16 halves of country liquor from his possession near Kerosene Pump, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 26.07.2021. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 44, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ankush Khanna R/o # 349, Sector-9, Chandigarh who reported that driver of Innova car No. HR-03A-0003 sped away after hitting complainant’s Mercedes car No. CH-01CB-2655 while the vehicle was parked near Krishan Chat Bhandar, Market, Sector-18C, Chandigarh on 21.07.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rajinder Kumar R/o # 1394, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Auto No. CH-78(T)-3659 parked near his house on the night intervening 09/10-07-2021. A case FIR No. 101, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
