Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Kuldeep Singh R/o # 207, Neem Wala Chowk, Ward No. 11, Morinda, Distt. Rupnagar, (PB) and recovered 300 bottles of whisky marka 111 ACE from his possession carrying in his Honda City car near Kacha rasta, Ziri Mandi Chowk, Chandigarh on 27.06.2021. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Ravi R/o # 189, Village Palsora, Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons occupants of Auto No. PB-65— snatched away his purse containing cash Rs. 5000/- Aadhar Card, Pan Card and Mobile Phone near Garbage Plant to Dhanas Lake Road, near Maloya, Chandigarh on 26-06-2021. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust

Anup Koley R/o # 3293, Sector-25, Chandigarh alleged that Aakash Majhi R/o Village Dhalyan Tarekeswar, Hooghly, West Bengal who was working at complainant’s shop i.e. Anup Goldsmith, SCO No. 45, Top Floor, Sector 23, Chandigarh intoxicated his co-workers and stole away 1.5 Kg gold, diamond ornaments and cash Rs. 3 lakh after breaking the safe of said shop on 26-06-2021. A case FIR No. 96, U/S 406, 328 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 168, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against driver of M/Cycle No. CH-01AR-1633 namely Jatinder Kumar R/o # 831/C, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who hit complainant’s Auto No. CH-01TB-8145 near light point, Sector-39/40, Chandigarh on 27-06-2021. MotorCycle driver got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
