Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj Kumar R/o # 1957, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and recovered 122 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Kabari Market, Makhan Majra, Chandigarh on 22.06.2021. A case FIR No. 72, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Hemant Rana R/o # 2294/A, Sector-23/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-03Y-1486 parked near ICIC Bank, Sector-9, Chandigarh on 21.06.2021. A case FIR No. 49, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Sanjay Kumar R/o # 3325, Sector-27, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s car No. PB-11CM-3528 parked near his house on the night intervening 08/09-06-2021. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Vikram Singh R/o # 178/1, Village-Palsora, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor Motor Cycle No. CH-01AK-0656 parked near his house on 22-06-2021. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Cheating

A case FIR No. 91, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rajesh Mahajan R/o Hotel Oyster, SCO No. 1-2-3, Sector-17/C, Chandigarh who alleged that Jai Shankar Jha R/o # 447, Gali No. 18, Saurabh Nadarpur, Delhi represented himself to be authorized representative of M/s Jaya Carpets dealing in flooring solutions including carpets, wooden flooring, etc.. Alleged person taken payment of Rs. 4,30,000/- and promised to deliver goods on or before 02.11.2020. He neither delivered the goods and nor return money of complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Snatching

Ajay Singh R/o Village-Kansal, Distt. Mohali (PB)  reported that two unknown person on motor cycle sped away after snatching his mobile phone near dividing rod, Sector 7/8, Chandigarh on 21-06-2021. A case FIR No. 140, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

Durgesh Tiwari R/o # 50, Village-Faidan, Chandigarh reported that Vinod @ Lalla and Jitender @ Tila both R/o # 405, Village-Faidan, Chandigarh and two other persons attacked on complainant and his tenant Kamlesh and Raju with sticks & Axe near complainant’s residence on 21.06.2021. A case FIR No. 83, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Alleged persons namely Vinod and Jitender have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
