One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sagar R/o # 192, DMC, Sector-38W, Chandigarh (Age 20 years) and recovered 6 gm heroin from his possession near T-Point, Sports Complex, Sector-38W, Chandigarh on 21.06.2021. A case FIR No. 79, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohan Singh R/o # 4238, Sector-56 Chandigarh and recovered 30 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Cremation Ground, Maloya, Chandigarh on 21.06.2021. A case FIR No. 80, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 48, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harjinder Singh R/o VPO Jhandiana Garbi, Distt. Moga, (PB) who alleged that unknown driver of Fortuner car No. PB-10W-3000 hit complainant’s car No. PB10EX4621 at Press Light Point, Chandigarh on 20-06-2021. Complainant got injured and admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 46, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint Amit Yadav R/o # 1964, Sector-52, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver of Honda City car No. CH01-AX-3458 sped away after hitting complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH04-H-7897 near Small Chowk, Progressive Society, Sector-50, Chandigarh on 21-06-2021. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Manish Kumar Gupta R/o # 117/C, SBP Homes-2, Chhajju Majra, Sector-126 SAS Nagar, (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB65S-8079 parked near BSNL, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 17.06.2021. A case FIR No. 90, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Quarrel

Sanjay Gupta R/o # 2004/2, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh reported that Raj Kumar, Dinesh, Pappu, Bedi, Lalit assaulted complainant at Colony No. 4, Chandigarh on 16.06.2021. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 99, U/S 323, 341, 325, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later three persons Raj Kumar Yadav R/o # 635/2, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh Dinesh Yadav R/o Jhuggi No. 12/E, Colony No. 04, Chandigarh & Pappu R/o Jhuggi No. 272/B, Colony No. 04, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector 42/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away purse containing gold ornaments, pen drive, credit & debit cards, cash Rs. 3000/-, locker keys & documents from her house on the night intervening 17/18-03-2021. A case FIR No. 112, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Pardeep Kumar R/o # 173, Village-Attawa, Sector-42, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole the battery of his Auto No. PB65-AX-0883 while parked near Dispensary, Village Attawa, Sector 42, Chandigarh on 10.05.2021. A case FIR No. 113, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Anmol Khosla, Manager, Tresskin Salon, SCO No. 497-498, Sector 35C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away battery of Generator from the roof of SCO No. 497-498, Sector 35C, Chandigarh on 18.06.2021. A case FIR No. 114, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
