Action against Gambling

        Chandigarh Police arrested Sukhwinder Kumar R/o # H-2, Phase-7, Mohali, while he was playing satta near Electricity Office, Motor Market, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 08.06.2021. Total cash Rs. 9820/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 108, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Majay paswan R/o # 212, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh, while he was playing satta near # 158, Sahstri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 08.06.2021. Total cash Rs. 2170/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 54, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh, near Shiv Mandir Madrasi colony, Sector 38-D, Chandigarh on 08.06.2021 and recovered 39 NIPS of country made liquor from her possession. A case FIR No. 143, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Arrest in Theft

Jasbir Singh R/o H. No. 200, Vill. Palsora, Sector 56, Chandigarh reported that Ankush R/o H. No. 2700, D.M.C, Sector 38 West, Chandigarh had stolen his bicycle, Marka Hero Sprint, while it was locked with iron grill on 07.06.21. A case FIR No. 142, U/S 379, 411 has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Accused Ankush has been arrested on 08.06.21 and stolen bicycle recovered his possession.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector 38, Chandigarh reported that Suraj R/o # 3387, sector 38-d, Chandigarh, who stole away complainant 2 gas cylinder from her residence on 08.06.2021. A case FIR No. 144, U/S 380, 454, 411 has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Accused has been arrested in this case.  Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector 41 Chandigarh reported that some of her relative namely a lady, Pardeep and Shinder visited her house in a car, who were stole away her voter card, gold Mangal Sutar and Ear Rings, while she was for preparing tea for them. A case FIR No. 145, U/S 380, 411 has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. During the course of investigation, accused Vijender Bhonsle R/o Village Khbarch Narwana, District Jind (HR) Age 18 years and Pardeep  Bhonsle R/o House no. 1565 Sector 25 Panchkula (HR) Age 29 Years  has been arrested in this case.     Investigation of the case is in progress.
