One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady R/o Colony No. 4, Chandigarh and recovered 28 quarters of country liquor from her possession near Plot No. 180, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 13.04.2021. A case FIR No. 58, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later, she was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

         Ranjan Kumar R/o # 1253A, Sector-35B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s bicycle from near his house on the night intervening 05/06-04-2021. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sohan Singh Jaswal R/o # 2921, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Bullet Motor Cycle No. CH-01BF-5404 parked near his house on the night intervening 12/13-04-2021. A case FIR No. 98, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Harish Kumar R/o # 2854, Sector-37/C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Bullet Motor Cycle No. CH-01CA-7645 parked near his house on the night intervening 12/13-04-2021. A case FIR No. 99, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Dr. Gaurav Varshney R/o # 197/A Sector-51, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs 10 Lakh and 60 gm gold, two diamond rings, one gold ring, one gold chain, one mangal sutra, 4 gold bangles from complainant residence on 12.04.2021. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
