Two arrested for possessing illicit liquor

          Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjeev @ Noni R/o # 2699, Sector-49/C, Chandigarh and recovered 08 bottles of country liquor from his possession near Dispensary, Sector-49, Chandigarh on 05.01.2021. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

          Chandigarh Police arrested Bhushan Paswan R/o Jhuggi No. A-65, Adarsh Colony, Sector-54, Chandigarh and recovered 48 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Public Toilet, Sector-54, Chandigarh on 05.01.2021. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

          A case FIR No. 03, U/S 279, 337 IPC & 185 MV Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the statement of Om Parkash R/o # 525, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh against driver of motor cycle No. CH-01AY-7703 namely Pardeep Kumar R/o # 163, Village-Abdulapur, Pinjore, Distt Panchkula (HR) who hit to a cyclist (complainant’s brother) namely Radhe Shyam R/o # 525, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on Sukhna Bridge, between TPT light point to Railway Light Point, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 05.01.2021. Cyclist got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

          Parveen Kumar R/o Plot No. 88, Press Site, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person committed theft at his factory and stole away one led TV, one laptop, stereo, drill machine, stamping machine, wire bundles and some cash from his office after breaking the locks on night intervening 02/03.01.2021. A case FIR No. 03, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
