One arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Prem Kumar Singh resident of Sector 22C, Chandigarh while consuming liquor near SCO No. 2924, Sector-22C, Chandigarh on 30.12.2020. A case FIR No. 211, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohammad Rashis and Manoj Kumar both resident of Burail, Chandigarh while gambling near Ram Leela Ground, Burail, Chandigarh on 30.12.2020. Total cash Rs. 7300/- were recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 246, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against obstruction in public way

A case FIR No. 210, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh against Santosh Kumar R/o # 1644, Village Burail, Chandigarh who installed rehri/fari near Booth No. 94, Shastri market, Sector-22, Chandigarh on 30.12.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Jasdeep Singh R/o # 5535, Sector-38 W, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen complainant’s cheque of HDFC bank and presented it in bank for 4.52 crore clearance. A case FIR No. 181, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 226, U/S 420, 467, 468 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Ph-10, Mohali (PB) who reported that a lady resident of Ph-11, Mohali (PB) made forged and fake documents for rent agreement of SCF No. 41, Sector 29D, Chandigarh in which complainant having 75 % share. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Amit Kumar R/o # 1600, Sector-45, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AK8647 near Sadar Market, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 22.11.2020. A case FIR No. 95, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 141, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Surinder Kumar R/o # 199, Milk colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver of  Splendor motorcycle No. HR99T-4587 hit to complainant near Garg Marble Market, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 27.12.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
