One arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Lakhanpreet R/o # 2874/A, Sector-42, Chandigarh while consuming liquor at a public place near SCO No. 1034-35, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh on 14-12-2020. A case FIR No. 202, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.      

Accident

A case FIR No. 185, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Aman Rathee R/o # 101/53, Sector-20, Panchkula (HR) who alleged that driver of Etios car No. PB-65AS-1271 namely Harmandeep R/o Village Saidpura, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib (PB) hit to complainant’s Audi car No. HR-10AK-0010 near light point Sector-27/28, Chandigarh on 13.12.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 238, U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ramnik Singh R/o # 1698, Sector-34/D, Chandigarh who reported that he had posted advertisement on OLX for sale of camera accessories and on 21.05.2020 he received a call from a person namely Rakesh who wanted to purchase the camera accessories. The deal was fixed for Rs. 16,000/- but alleged person deducted Rs. 80,000/- by sending QR code on complainant’s mobile phone. Investigation of the case is in progress.
