Two arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Dinesh Sharma R/o Sector-9, Panchkula (HR) while consuming liquor at a public place near Peer Majar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 13-12-2020. A case FIR No. 208, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.      

Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar R/o Sector-45/C, Chandigarh while consuming liquor at a public place near Booth No. 165, Sector-40/D, Chandigarh on 13-12-2020. A case FIR No. 385, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.  

Action against gambling/satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Surinder Kumar R/o # 278, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh while playing satta near Fish Market, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 1170/- from his possession on 13.12.2020. A case FIR No. 206, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Anand R/o # 3920/1, Sector-47D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Swift car No. CH-01AN-5182 parked near his house on the night intervening 12/13.12.2020. A case FIR No. 228, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
