One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay R/o # 97, Phase-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country made liquor from his possession near Flats, Sector-26, BDC, Chandigarh on 04.12.2020. A case FIR No. 180, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 90, U/S 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amrit Pal Singh R/o Village Palasaur, Distt. Tarantaran, Amritsar, against Vikram R/o # 1182, Sector-38W, DMC, Chandigarh, who is running Green leaf immigration Pvt. Ltd, Sector 20/C Chandigarh in year 2018 and cheated Rs. 4 lakh from complainant for providing work visa for Canada. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

Ashish Tandon R/o # 1059, Sector-18-c, Chandigarh reported that Ashish Kumar R/o # 1545, Sector 18, Chandigarh (aged 28 years) who stealing petrol from complainant bike No. CH04A-4844, while parked near his residence on 04.12.2020 and caught red handed. A case FIR No. 91, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

Harinder Kumar R/o # ES 612, Gali no. 3, Avadpura, Jallandhar, PB reported that Gauravdeep Singh R/o # 1546, Sector-38, Chandigarh driver of Baleno car No. CH01BR2206, hit to complainant’s Ambulance vehicle No. PB04M-9698 at Sector 36/37 light point on dated 02.12.2020. Ambulance driver alongwith 2 passengers and baleno car driver got injured and got admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 222, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV theft

      Harpreet Singh R/o # 1257/B, Sector 43-B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Innova car No.PB31K0023 near his residence on the night intervening 03/04.12.2020.A case FIR No. 222, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

      A lady resident of Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s bicycle from Japani garden, sector-31, Chandigarh.A case FIR No. 225, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
