A lady resident of Sector 20C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person committed theft at her house and stole away cash Rs 50,000/- and two gold rings after breaking locks on night intervening 15/16-11-2020. A case FIR No. 87, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating
A case FIR No. 359, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector 38, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person sent her a friend request on social networking site and offered laptop, iphone, and 20,000 pound as a help to complainant by sending it through parcel. Later he cheated total Rs. 3,45,000/- from complainant to get the parcel release from airport. Investigation of the case is in progress.
