Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor 

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharmender Yadav R/o # 553, Adarsh Colony Balongi, Distt. Mohali, PB, and Vijay Kumar R/o # 131, Dashmesh Colony, Balongi, Distt. Mohali, PB, from near Sector 41 C/D turn on 01.11.2020 alongwith three wheeler No. PB65AU-6721 and recovered 5 boxes of super jubilee special whiskey from their possession. A case FIR No. 342, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

Johnes Chopra R/o # 531, Sector-38A, Chandigarh reported that driver of fortuner car No.PB23Y-1155, who sped away after hit unknown pedestrian lady at Sector 39/40 dividing on 29.10.2020. Pedestrian lady got injuries and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh on 29.10.2020. A case FIR No. 343 U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
