04 persons arrested while consuming liquor at public place

          In a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, total 03 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 04 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The details of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-31=01 case and PS-39= 2 cases.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor 

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu Jaswal R/o # 1854, Village Hallomarja, Chandigarh (Age    years) near Baba Service Station, Village Maulijagran and recovered 4 boxes containing 48 bottles of king fisher strong premium beer 650 ML each and 2 boxes containing 48 halves of Royal Stag Blended whiskey 375 ML each from his possession on 28.10.2020. A case FIR No. 195, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maulijagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar @ Neelu R/o # 1520, Teen colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh (Age    years) near petrol pump, Sector-44, and recovered 9 bottles  of Empire No.1 Mota Santra from his possession on 28.10.2020. A case FIR No. 214, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV Theft

Punit Kumar R/o # 2258, Mariwal town, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that, who stole away complainant Activa No. CH01BX9663 from near his residence on the night intervening 27/28.10.2020. A case FIR No. 163, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Later accused Joginder Singh R/o # 545, NIC, MM, Chandigarh arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

          Intzaar Ahmad R/o # 2607, GF, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant mobile phone, cash Rs. 28500/- and one gold chain from his residence on night intervening 18/19.10.2020. A case FIR No. 207, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 213 U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jabeej Singh R/o # 17, Sector-33-A, Chandigarh against unknown person who made fraudulently transaction of Rs. 22, 500/- by swaping debit card issued by ICICI bank, Sector-35, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
