One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Yasin Mohd. @ Kala R/o # 738, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (age 40 years) from near bridge, Village Dhanas to PGI Road, Chandigarh and recovered 3 kg 18 gm Poppy Husk from his possession on 21.10.2020. A case FIR No. 129 U/S 15 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Arms Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Summy R/o # 87/A, Shiva Enclave, Village Bhabhat, Zirakpur (PB) Age 23 years & Shiv Shankar @ Sonu R/o Village Jagatpura, Distt Mohali (PB) Age 22 years and recovered one country made pistol with magazine with 2 live cartridges and one desi katta along with one live cartridge from their possession near Sports Complex, Sector 50, Chandigarh on 21.10.2020. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for theft

Mahinder Singh Channa R/o # 1276, Sector-37B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away one cycle from the courtyard of his house on 21.10.2020. A case FIR No. 321, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later one person namely Arun Kumar R/o # 153, Village Palsora, UT, Chandigarh age 20 years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Delhi, harassed the complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 73, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Fatehveer Singh R/o # 135/C, Village Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Maruti zen Car No. CH01-AJ-9509 parked near open ground Tribune Colony, Raipur Khurd, Chandigarh between 12.10.2020 to 15.10.2020. A case FIR No. 190, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dhanveer Verma R/o # 2079/D, Block No. 24, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Hero Honda Splendor pro M/Cycle No. PB10-DP-0773 from open parking of his residence on 15.10.2020. A case FIR No. 69, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to murder

A case FIR No. 197, U/S 307, 452, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Verind R/o # P-86, Sector-52, Teen Colony, Chandigarh who alleged that Rajesh @ Laeya, Vishal @ Billa, Rinku & Kapil assaulted and stabbed complainant at # P-99, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 21.10.2020. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Later Rajesh @ Laeya R/o # P-38, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh, Vishal @ Billa R/o # P-939, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh, Rinku R/o # P-586, Tin Colony, Sector-52, have been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.
