One arrested for possessing illegal liquor 

Chandigarh Police arrested Sukhjeet Singh R/o # 1051, Sector-52, Chandigarh (Age 36 years) and recovered 24 quarters of country liquor near H.No. 1046, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 16.10.2020. A case FIR No. 194, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against gambling/satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohinder singh R/o # 415, Shivalik Vihar, Zirakpur, (PB) while he was playing satta near Park Raipur Khurd, Chanigarh  on 16.10.2020 and cash Rs. 3300/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Rajan Yadav R/o # 19, Makhan Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Honda Shine M/Cycle No. CH01BT9209 parked near Plot No. 36, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 13.10.2020. A case FIR No. 188, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 126, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Parveen R/o # 4742, Sector-38W, Chandigarh against the driver of Maruti Van No. CH03R1033 namely Nosad Ali R/o # 393, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh who hit complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH01AG8177 at road near Cremation Ground, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 11.10.2020. Complainant got injured and was admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust/Cheating

J.L. Sachdeva, Manager, M/S Modern Automobiles, Plot No. 4, MW, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that Kiran Choudhary R/o # 574, Shiva Enclave, Zirakpur (PB) working as Insurance Executive had been collecting cash payments from customers for car insurance renewals and did not deposited the amount collected from customers with the organization and no proper insurance policy or receipt was issued to the customer thereby cheating the customers and the organization. A case FIR No. 187, U/S 408, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Raman Kumar Thakur R/o H.No. 1006, Sector-44/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 2 set earrings, one gold locket, one gold bangle, one silver anklet & cash Rs. 8,000/- from complainant’s residence on 05.10.2020. A case FIR No. 202, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting

          A case FIR No. 193, U/S 147, 148, 149, 440 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjay R/o # 623, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh who alleged that Balwant and 10/12 other persons were hitting the door of complainant’s house and carrying sticks, rod, axes and swords to attack on complainant. They also damage his car No. CH03D4091 parked outside of his house on the night intervening 11/12-10-2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
