Two arrested for possessing illegal liquor  

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh and recovered 70 quarters of country liquor near slip road, TPT Light Point, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 11.10.2020. A case FIR No. 166, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Gagan Kumar R/o # 1177, Phase-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 6 bottles of country liquor near Tube Well, Phase-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 11.10.2020. A case FIR No. 196, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for consuming liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Jyoti Parkash R/o # 276, near Gurudwara Saketri Panchkula (HR) and Ram kumar @ Banti R/o # 277, Samadhi Gate, Mani Majra, Chandigarh while they were consuming liquor at public place near back side Sports Complex, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 11-10-2020. A case FIR No. 196, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against disobeying of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh/Assault

A case FIR No. 314, U/S 188, 269, 270, 323, 506, 34 IPC and 4 & 5 Noise Pollution Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Munish Gupta R/o # 2191, Sector-38C, Chandigarh and others who organized a party at H.No. 2191, Sector 38C, Chandigarh and guidelines of Covid-19 regarding social distancing and mask were not followed at the party. One Complainant namely Mahesh R/o # 171, Village Kansal, Distt. Mohali (PB) also met the police party and alleged that Sarwan Singla, Chetan Munjal, Kanu Sharma, Rinku Dadu Majra, Peeta Talwandi have assaulted him in the party. Investigation of the case is in progress.
