One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Brijesh @ Tota R/o # 354, Village-Belhana, Chandigarh (age 21 years) and recovered 12 bottles of country liquor from his possession near Lakkad Ka Aara, Raipur Khurd, UT, Chandigarh on 05.10.2020. A case FIR No. 183, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Three arrested for gambling 

Chandigarh Police arrested three ladies R/o Sector 56 & BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Govt. School, Sector-56, Chandigarh on 05.10.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 2400/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 305, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

          A case FIR No. 170, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amitabh Sharma, Area Manager Risk Intelligence and Control, HDFC Bank Ltd., Plot No. 28, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh who alleged that Pardeep Singh Kapoor R/o Flat No. 17, 1^st floor, Om Villa Golden Enclave, Logarh Road, Zirakpur (PB) borrowed used car refinance loan of Rs. 16,37,625/- disbursed on 21.07.2015 and also top up loan of Rs. 2,38,615/- disbursed on 21.10.2016 against Vehicle No. CH01BB-0170 from HDFC Bank Ltd. Alleged person transferred the vehicle to a third party on the basis of a fake NOC of HDFC Bank and also availed another auto loan. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Eve-teasing

          A case FIR No. 184, U/S 341, 506, 354, 354-D IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl who alleged that a person namely Sonu Kumar R/o # 170/A, Sunder Nagar, Part-2, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh restrained complainant’s way and eve-teased her near Market, Sunder Nagar, Part-2, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh on 05.10.2020. Alleged person namely Sonu Kumar R/o # 170/A, Sunder Nagar, Part-2, Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh (age 24 years) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 190, U/S 279, 338 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ilyas Khan R/o # 187, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh against driver of unknown vehicle who sped away after hitting to complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH01BY-6804 near CRPF Campus Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 04.10.2020. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Ankit Kumar R/o # 585, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Apache M/Cycle No. CH-01CB-5651 from parking of Japanese Garden, Sector-31, Chandigarh on 25.09.2020. A case FIR No. 191, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Jaspal Singh R/o Village-Khijrabad, Distt-Mohali (PB) Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor M/Cycle No. PB-65N-3411 parked near FCI Office, Sector-40/B, Chandigarh on 05.10.2020. A case FIR No. 306, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Navjeet Singh Sandhu R/o # 1464/A, Sector-37/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away his Bicycle parked near his house on 04-10-2020. A case FIR No. 304, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
