One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay Kumar R/o # 2221, Sector-23C, Chandigarh (age 31 years) driver of Skoda car No. CH01AD3003 and recovered 10 gm Heroin from his possession during checking at naka near T-Point Sector-22CD, Chandigarh on 30.09.2020. A case FIR No. 167, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Mahto R/o Jhuggi No. 405/1, Sanjay Colony, Phase-1, I/Area, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country liquor near HDFC Bank, Phase-1, Ind. Area Chandigarh on 30.09.2020. A case FIR No. 180, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Five arrested for gambling 

Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak @ Deepa R/o # 493, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, Sunil Kumar R/o # 2122, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, Honey R/o # 1100, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, Rinku R/o # 1037, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, Gurnam Singh R/o # 608, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Fish Market, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 30.09.2020 and recovered cash Rs. 1490/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 188, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Abduction

A person resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh reported that his son aged about 14 years has been missing from his house since 29.09.2020. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh reported that her son aged about 16 years along with another boy aged about 16 years R/o Ramdarbar, Chandigarh have been missing from the house since 28.09.2020. A case FIR No. 189, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Paramvir Singh R/o # 261/C, Sector-51A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. PB32W-9660 parked near his house between 26-09-2020 to 28-09-2020. A case FIR No. 64, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Murder

       A case FIR No. 300, U/S 302, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against unknown person(s) who murdered a person namely Sonu R/o # 126, Village Palsora, Chandigarh (age 25 years) at forest area, Sector 54, Chandigarh on 30.09.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
