Two persons arrested for disobeying orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 116, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh against Jagdev Singh R/o # 5947, MHC, MM, Chandigarh, who was arrested while roaming without wearing a mask near Housing Board Light Point, Chandigarh on 03.08.2020. He disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 237, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Satnam Singh R/o Village Rangalipur, Distt-Rupnagar, (PB) who was arrested while roaming without pass permission during lockdown hours near Wine Shop, Sector-37D, Chandigarh on 03.08.2020. He disobeyed orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Imran Khan R/o # 12, Village Jalouli, Distt- Panchkula, HR (age 28 years) and recovered 10 Kg Ganja from his possession near Park at backside of Cremation Ground, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 03.08.2020. A case FIR No. 117, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV Theft

Gurvinder Singh R/o # 1083, Sector-42B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Zen car No. CH01Q-0986 parked near H.No. 1165, Sector-42B, Chandigarh on the night intervening 30/31-07-2020. Later accused namely Ankush Chawaria R/o # 1229/B, Rajiv Colony, Sec-17, Panchkula (HR) age 18 ½ years has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 150, U/S 379 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Five arrested for Trafficking a minor

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector 45, Chandigarh, a lady resident of Patiala, Punjab, a lady resident of Sangrur, Punjab, Mandeep R/o Village Jaladiwal Distt Ludhiana (PB) and Amarjit Singh R/o # 80, Shivjot Enclave, Gurteg Bahadur Nagar, Sec-14, Kharar, Punjab on the secret information and recovered a new born baby (Boy) from their possession while in Alto car No. PB27E-0430 near Airport Light Point on 03-08-2020. A case FIR No. 163, U/S 370, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Theft

Ashwani Kumar R/o # 140, Sector-38A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Mobile Phone, cash Rs. 3500/-, documents & Debit and Credit Cards from the dickey of complainant’s TVS Jupiter Scooter No. CH01-BV-7724 while parked at parking of Leisure Valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 03-08-2020. A case FIR No. 72, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

S.P.S Grewal R/o # 445, Sector-37A, Chandigarh reported that two unknown persons stole away battery from complainant’s car No CH03V-0898 while parked in front of his residence on 23.07.2020. A case FIR No. 238, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 

Snatching

A case FIR No. 156, U/S 379A, 356 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-32, Chandigarh who reported that one unknown person on a motorcycle snatched away her purse containing cash Rs. 15,000/-, I-Phone and documents near Govt. High School, Sector-32, Chandigarh on 03.08.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Anish Pathania R/o Village Mintah, PO Rehan, Distt- Kangra (HP) reported that unknown person stole away Complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. HP88-5417 while parked near his rented accommodation i.e. Flat No. 2097/A, Block No. 25, Sec-63, Chandigarh on 29.07.2020. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Pawan Bhatia R/o # 5571, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away Complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01AS-2664 while parked at the backside of Allahabad Bank, Sector-40D,  Chandigarh on 03.08.2020. A case FIR No. 239, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Robbery

A case FIR No. 114, U/S 394, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjay Kumar R/o # 316, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who reported that two unknown persons boarded in his Auto No. CH04K-4742 from light point, Sector-25/38, Chandigarh for Dhanas, Chandigarh on 02.08.2020. While the complainant reached near Gaushala turn, Sector 38 west, Chandigarh they hit the complainant with brick and robbed away his DL, Aadhar Card, Mobile, Cash Rs. 500/-. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 115, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Maloya colony, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of e-loader-E-Rickshaw No. PB65-AE-(T)-4980 namely Nitin R/o # 3124 Maloya Colony, Chandigarh hit complainant’s daughter aged about 4 years while she was playing near her house on 02.08.2020.  She got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
